  1. I've fixed my "inaccessible boot disk" BSOD error. With constant research everyone else with this problem seemed to have given up and just did a fresh reinstall. I had a slight different approach and in the end it solved my problem. I tried backing up my drivers and that was a fail. I also tried dism restore heatlh from the recovery cmd and that was a bust. Here is the code for that (make sure that your windows drive is C or whatever, I changed it using diskpart) (also can't do dism online since your not in windows and this is before booting) dism /image:c:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth I then tried to restore my registry and that was a bust because my backups were empty (0 kbs files). So I had to do a fresh install. I did a fresh installed and installed macrium reflect. I still had the backup iamges of my original install and I used macrium's refelct viboot to virtually fix the image and try more options. What eventually I did was copy the *SYSTEM* registry hive/file from the "Fresh install of windows" over my corrupted image of windows.. and with success it worked. How I did that was copy it from the fresh install which I believe I had to do from command prompt in recovery because windows gives you access errors if you try to do that from boot. Copied it from fresh install to a usb drive. I then copied it from the usb driver over the corrupted image and it worked. Then tried it for real instead of virtually and it still works. I've been up and running for a week now. Creating backups of everything including the working registry and pretty much everything. I've now becomed a back up freak... even though I was so frustrated because this whole process should've never happened because I had backups already but somehow they got corrupted too? Not sure... Here is the code for the copy I did. It's something like this. Where drive e was my usb (regbackup was the folder). And drive c is my windows drive. Copy from place "A" to place "B" xcopy e:\regbackup c:\windows\system32\config I might've done a bad explanation and it was a quick one. This took two days of debugging and trying stuff. I don't even remember the command I did to try and restore my drivers but that didn't work anyway since I found out it was a registry problem and nothing else. I hope my bad explanation can help others. I always hate when people solve a problem and never post how they solved it and leave the forum discussion blank. Cheers!
  2. Hi, ive exhausted every outlet of trying to restore my broken OS from the “inaccessible boot disk” BSOD. Sadly, I even made full disk backups with. Macrium reflect and everyone still gives me the error and won’t boot. And lastly I can’t boot even into safe mode as it just gives me the same BSOD. System restore was a no go, chk disk and sfc scan now didn’t work. Bootrec. commands were a no go as well. I even tried doing a fresh install and then doing the image restore with macrium and that was a no go. My question and last resort is I made backups of my drivers using dism.exe. Except I can’t seem to get it work in the repair disk CMD. I was wondering if someone could help me? Is it possible to do this from the repair cmd and does it have to be worded differently? I’ve tried this command but get errors. Drive D is where my windows is located. And I have drive J my external drive where I stored the back up drivers. dism /online /Add-Driver /Driver:J:\OSBackup\Drivers07282018Backup\ /Recurse
  3. Strictly cause I'm broke lol, but I would rather have another 1070 ti yes.
  4. Asus 24 inch monitors, they have hdmi, dvi, or vga outputs. But I do have like switches from dvi to DP or hdmi to DP so I could get them to work originally. You think daisy chaining would work or would it be too much stress when I'm gaming to run all 6 monitors?
  5. Hi, I have a gtx 1070ti and was using along with it a gtx 660ti just so I can use up to 6 monitors. The 660ti has finally died after a long time of use and I'm looking for a new graphics card. I was wondering what is kidn of the cheapest way I can go? I'm not looking to game on the graphics card at all (i'll game on the 1070ti), its just for the extra monitors and perhaps throwing a video or twitch stream on it occasionally. So I'm not looking for a powerhouse graphics card but I am looking for one that is cheap/stable that *hopefully* won't give my 1070ti any trouble/headaches. Thanks!
  6. I'll try a more aggressive fan curve. When I overclocked I had the powerlimit at the highest value which was 112 for the 1070. And then when I got my OC settings I dialed back the power limit to 70% so it would draw less power and keep it cooler. The max settings for the 1070 individually if I remember correctly was: Core Boost: +210 Mem Clock boost: +650 Together of course I was getting crashes so my end results are what I came up with. But I wasn't confident if I should raise the core one more and lower the mem or vice versa. I'm not sure which one is more important.
  7. Oh I apologize again. After reading your reply I went back and noticed that I have my Power Limit % set to 70% on the 1070 (since thats the mining gpu). After setting to 100% power its idling around 1840ish mHz however my temp limit is idling around 76 celius... I imagine this is too hot now?
  8. Oh sorry, They both sit whilst working under heavy load between 65 to 70 Celsius. On idle the gtx 1070ti sits around 40-45ish but my computer runs a tad hotter. The gtx 1070 sits around 35-40ish on idle.
  9. Hi, First time overclocking with msi afterburner and after several testing and hours it seems stable but I just want some second opinions if you think my results are normal'ish. lol I didn't mess with any voltage. Msi afterburner settings: Gtx 1070ti founders edition Core clock boost: +100 mHz Mem Clock boost: +625 mHz Core Clock sits around 1680'ish mHz Mem Clock sits around 4322 mHz Gtx 1070 - PNY Core clock boost: +150 mHz Mem Clock boost: +525 mHz Core Clock sits around 1835'ish mHz Mem Clock sits around 4620 mHz
  10. Oh okay, I'll pick that up and measure it thank you so much. Is it alot? Maybe I said it wrong. On my bill not counting the fees/taxes (which are under delivery services for my bill)... I'm paying X k/Wh @ 0.0509 That's what it looks like on my bill the, 0.0509
  11. Hi I'm new to mining and just want to estimate my electric bill going up which my bill atm is 5.09 cents k/Wh. I'm confused whether I should be calculating the power usage of my Gtx 1070ti at 180 watts (according to just googling I actually have no idea how to figure what I'm using) for 24 hours at my electric bill 5.09 cents a k/Wh which for 30 days is $6.69 or should be estimating my full pc's psu which is 850 watts for 24 hours at my electric bill 5.09 cents a k/Wh which for 30 days is $31.60 Also if I reduce the power limit from 100% to 70% is that reducing the power wattage too so instead of 180 watts it would be 126 watts? Thanks!
  12. I successfully used DDU and reinstalled the Nvidia driver. I did some light stress testing with Uniengine Heaven whilst having some chrome tabs and twitch open to simulate my daily gaming use and high performance. As of now no errors or freezes and I hope it keeps this way *fingers crossed*. I'm not sure if I stressed it correctly but it seems to be ok at the moment lol. I have 3 monitors on each again and dedicated PHSYX off in the nivida control panel.
  13. I've tried doing clean install with the nvidia update but I'll try again with DDU hopefully it is a driver issue. I named my computer "Troublemaker" when I built it years ago... it still holds up to its name lol.
  14. Np, ty Tabs. Should I leave phsyx off for sure then as I was unsure whether to have it on in the first place? I've tried both on/off and same result but I left it on for now cause I thought it would help lol. I'm simply just wanting the 2nd gpu to run my 6 monitors as the 1070ti is more the powerful enough to run my games/streams.
  15. I just purchased Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series SSR-850FX 850W 80+ Gold. I thought that would've been enough but maybe not?
