  1. I am searching for a replacement screen for a laptop. According to the official website, it uses a "15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display (1366x768)" display. Here is my main concern. Whether or not a screen of the same exact name, but from a different laptop model number, be compatible with it. I am searching for some site like PCPartPicker.com but dedicated to laptops. Here are my main questions. If i get said screen with identical specs from a laptop of a DIFFERENT model number, will it still be compatible? What are some good resources for finding compatible laptop parts (not PC parts)?
  2. Someone I know has an old Compaq V2000 laptop that's been giving them trouble. It boots and runs fine, but there are many issues that come with having an old operating system. I have some information in the attached pictures. My question is this. Is it possible to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 10 or any other recent Windows OS? The owner is an old dude, so anything other than Windows is not an option.
  3. Does the hard drive need to be physically installed into another computer, or can I use a cable/adapter in a USB port?
  4. I have purchased a brand new hard drive. With Windows 10 on a USB, I was almost able to install an OS. As far as I know, the hard drive is in good condition. See IMG-7003, IMG-7004. The new hard drive does not show up. Is there anyway to make the new hard drive show up? The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15. I would leave a service tag, but I'm unsure if its safe to do so.
  5. I was almost able to install Windows 10 through a USB. There is no selectable drive to install Windows to. I installed a brand new HDD, so it should be in good condition.
  6. I'll try booting from a USB, then mark as solved if all goes well.
  7. Suppose it works with the USB. Is there anything to do so the computer functions without the USB?
  8. I've bought a new hard drive for a laptop. Upon powering on, it cannot go pas BIOS. After contacting Dell, they said the new hard drive has no operating system on it. Is there any way to boot without an OS? Maybe on a USB or CD? The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15. I would leave a service tag, but I'm unsure if its safe to do so.

    Brands and Towers

Does using different brands effect performance? Let's say some one uses a Dell monitor on anything other than a Dell desktop. Does anything similar exist?
  10. Are there any modernized flip phones? Looking for anything similar to a T-Mobil Razr, but with Android.
