  1. Saw the Mac Address video on refurbished macs and decided I'd give it a go. I found a good deal on a refurb base model M2 macbook air and decided I'd give macOS a try for the first time, unfortunately when I go to set the macbook up and connect to wifi it says that it is remote managed by "unknown" and the "cloud configuration server is unavailable" and doesn't allow me to proceed. Is there a way to bypass this remote management setup safely or should I just try to do a return? Its running macOS Sonoma.
  2. Thanks for the help so far. I Installed new ram and replaced gpu with a 4060 ti 16gb and am running into the same exact issues still. Could it possible be an issue with the Hyte Y60 gpu riser?
  3. Updated to latest BIOS version (1807), system now no longer posts with DOCP enabled. I removed two sticks and its running fine at 32GB 6400Mhz, it also booted significantly faster than it usual does (~30 seconds instead of >2 minutes) will have to see if the game crashing issue is fixed. Fixed or not though would that mean I've been running a technically unsupported memory config then?
  4. Recently have been running into computer issues mainly games and chrome crashing but sometimes taskbar icons will randomly move around and stack on top of each other and will sometimes just place themselves randomly in the task bar. Games will crash to desktop with no error message most of the time, but sometimes they will crash with a blue screen. Specifically on websites hosting video content chrome will display black artifacts over the whole window in short intervals randomly and very rarely will crash. When I first started having the issues I did a clean video driver install of a previous driver version using DDU, when that didn't fix the issue I wiped both my drives and did a fresh install of windows and the newest driver however the issues have persisted. As crystal disk check shows both my boot drive and secondary drive both have 98% health with no errors so I assume this is an issue with my GPU hardware but I'm not 100% sure, have only had the 4080 since September but computer was built in December of 2022. Errors I've received in event viewer after game crashes: faulting module NvXDCore.dll Exception code 0xc0000005 faulting module ntdll.dll Exception code 0xc0000409 System Level Errors from nvlddmkm BSOD Watchdog_violation BSOD Memory Management Specs/Versions: OS: Windows 11 64bit | 10.0.22631 Build 22631 Motherboard: ROG STRIX X670E-F | SMBIOS 3.5 CPU: Ryzen 9 7900X | Stock GPU: MSI RTX 4080 Ventus X3 OC | Driver Version 546.33 | Stock RAM: 64GB(4x16gb) GSKILL Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 6200Mhz | XMP enabled Boot SSD: Crucial P3 4TB M.2 Nvme Storage SSD: Samsung 870 Evo 4TB Sata PSU: Corsair RM750X | (750W 80+ Gold) TaskBar.mp4
  5. Running at 1080p using 417.71 because of Issues I was having with apex legends crashing
  6. Screenshot of settings im using: In game settings 1/2 In game settings 2/2
  7. Recently I have started having problems recently with several games lagging while the GPU and CPU usage are both below 50%. I have provided a link to a video captured with shadowplay of some borderlands pre-sequel gameplay with riva tuner showing the core usage on the cpu and GPU usage. All in game settings are set to the highest they can go, Vsync is off, framerate is uncapped. I have also had this issue with PUBG with FPS dropping to 40s and GTA V average fps between 40-55. Specs: i7 6700K @ stock 16GB DDR4 2133 Mhz RTX 2080 8gb @ stock corsair rm650x psu Video: https://youtu.be/LgMiqj_RSpc
  8. I agree with this 100%, building your first PC can be kinda scary but PC parts aren't as fragile as you think as long as you don't pull a linus also assuming pcpartpicker includes VAT you save 337 pounds which will get you a pretty hefty steam library.
  9. Yeah i don't know why CyberPower has "AMD standard CPU Cooler" as the one and only non-liquid heatsink option for that cpu.
  10. I made a PC part picker for you https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hsxFkT some stuff has different model numbers but its essentially the same
  11. Yup that's the one the "80 plus gold" is the important part its much more efficient and could save you money in the long run here is a chart from techpowerup displaying yearly savings.
  12. I use a corsair RM750x and it works wonderful it's only like 20 dollars more than the CX750 and has fully sleeved cables.
  13. I second this; should look for a PSU with 80 plus gold efficiency, don't skimp on PSU for such an expensive build
  14. This is the main stuff that's important for this question all of which is very good. At 1080p and 1440p you are looking at like 100+ on most games at ultra, TW3 is kinda hard to run so 1080/1440 would be like 80-90s on ultra. At 4k you are looking at at least 60 fps in all modern games on ultra most likely more if you disable things like AA since you don't really need 16xAA on a 4k panel. Yes this is good for Maya and Photoshop since to my knowledge both support openGL rendering and also the R7 1700X is a decently powerful CPU for when your using components that don't support openGL.
  15. ~60% CPU ~86% GPU normal is r* way of saying medium, and I just put spec pictures in the post if you want to see them. Nope sits between 60-80% usage
  16. Driver: Version 350.12 VRAM Utilization: 2596MB/4095MB
  17. With MSAA off and everything else set to normal i get about 50fps and with MSAA off with everything on high i get sub 30fps dipping into the low teens. Specs: CPU: Intel i5 3470 GPU: PNY GTX 970 4GB(3.5GB) RAM: DDR3 8GB 1866MHZ Installed on a SSD Utilization: 60% CPU 86% GPU (With dips to low 70 and increases to 102% occasionally) Settings i use to have 50-60fps: http://i.imgur.com/3pbW0Kq.png http://i.imgur.com/ybXu816.png Is this normal or should is there actually an issue somewhere?
  18. I'm not even joking listen to this http://youtu.be/KYBok-XGsKM?t=8m30s
