Hi, now to cut a long story short, I had a r9 270x sent for RMA (got refunded), then got a gtx 1060 from the amazon warehouse for cheap, but i was having the same problem i had with the r9 270, so i RMAd the power supply thinking it might be that...... but still the same problem (after a while, screen went black), again i sent back the GTX 1060(got refunded). My Question is, Do you know if my motherboard might be causing the problem with my GPUs, Can a motherboards Fry GPUs? I am thinking about going ahead and getting a new graphics card but i am worried that a new one might get damaged because of my motherboard. I am also thinking about doing a full system upgrade anyway, looking at coffee lake maybe, I did go to buy the i5 8400 but it is sold out every where. My specs ATMCPU - FX 6300Mother Board - M5a97 R2.0PSU - EVGA 650watt Gs 80+ GoldRam - 16 gb kingston hyper x 1866mhz GPU - geforec 9500GT (only card i had lying around) and yes i am using it in the same PCI-e slot on the same motherboard.
