  1. H100i from corsair would do the job nicely, although that might be a kidney for you..? Whats the budget..?
  2. Report the guy to Ebay, just explain to the people on the phone what has happened. If the first person isn't helpful, hang up and ring again and speak to someone new, it only takes someone to be having a bad day in order for them to not bother helping you. There is obviously something dodgy going on here...
  3. I think you need to connect the first monitor and then disable your laptop screen in order to get the other monitor to work. Most laptops have a 2 monitor limit, your laptop screen counts as one of those screens. Once you have disabled the laptop screen you should be able to set up the second monitor...
  4. They'd just lift the desk leg up and take it with them... Also im not keen for cutting any part of my case
  5. Hi all, I am thinking about attending the BYOC portion of i63 in August and I am just a bit worried about the security of my pc, monitor and peripherals. I have a Corsair Spec-04 Case and a Z270h, both of which do not have a kensington lock port. (My monitor does, Happy Days) I was wondering how else i could secure my pc to the desk, has anyone used the adhesive stick-on kensington locks? (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0038OMG1G/?coliid=I2Y0KNU4BXAVQX&colid=9NV01O731GPF&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) I was also thinking of using these screws so that people cannot access the inside of my pc, or is it too overkill? I mean id rather pay £9 than see my GPU go missing..? (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000I2JWE0/?coliid=I1BWRTGZTH2WWZ&colid=9NV01O731GPF&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) Please let me know your opinions and ideas on this topic, especially if you have attended any Lan events/insomnia events. Thanks EDIT: I'd rather not cut any holes, drill into anything etc
  6. Okay that makes sense to me, so unfortunately for me if i want good framerates without screen tear im going to have to fork out a fortune for a G-Sync monitor? Edit: So is the second monitor i listed a good choice? Or would you recommend something else if i needed G-Sync?
  7. I never reach over 240fps on a game? Or have i got the wrong end of the stick? Could you explain further?
  8. CCleaner Just clear your whole PC of junk, You'll have to sign back into websites such as facebook etc again but its worth it to keep your pc free of un-needed rubbish
  9. That's a comparable setup to mine... It's actually a very strong setup especially if you overclock (I haven't but its personal choice) You could play CSGO on a potato, however, other games such as PUBG, Fortnite, GTA5, Overwatch, Call Of Duty are all playable at, at least 100fps on high settings. Just go for a Z270 board like others have said further up the list of answers.
  10. Hi all, I am looking at buying this monitor and wondered if anyone had already got it or can help me out with any of the specs and let me know if it looks good. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077NM6L7J/?coliid=I3G92MX9PRT87T&colid=9NV01O731GPF&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) I already have a Acer KG271 which is a 27" 75hz Monitor with FreeSync. However, this is causing me problems due to screen tearing when playing my favourite games. (I have a Nvidia Card) The KG271B also has freesync but i presume i'd be okay in terms of screen tearing due to the 240hz on the monitor. This should stop the tearing right? I thought this would be a good monitor to get since i can have a dual monitor setup and have two of the same looking monitors, but they would just have different specs. I could game on one and have the other monitor for looking at discord and other smaller, less important tasks. The other main thing i like about this monitor is the price tag, I wouldn't really want to push much past £350 GBP and this seems like it fits right in to that budget with everything i could want. Or should i not bother with a monitor like this and try and work towards something along the lines of an acer predator monitor such as this one? (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AJTVBU4/?coliid=I3B5B0HJ8ONQ7U&colid=9NV01O731GPF&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) I'm in the UK, PC Specs in bio, If suggesting anything else it should be at least 27", 144hz+, Black, 1080p Thanks for your help.
  11. Can you link that? Been looking to find LED strips with corners for ages but can't seem to find any that for sure say they come with the corners... Cheers
  12. https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/system---hardware/sound---screen/ps4-pro--how-to-enable-4k-resolution/ This should help you EDIT: Also, like it says of the bottom of that page, make sure you've enabled 4k within the Game menu too
  13. I agree with @Bananasplit_00 G502 is my choice also and the buttons on the mouse really help with a lot of games, especially if you're are failry new to PC gaming as it means you can do more from one area e.g the mouse
  14. Save up a bit more and get the Logitech G502, without RGB if you are trying to save some money. It's a really great mouse and there are lots of programmable buttons which really help out in games such as PUBG. Its also got things such as adjustable weights in the bottom so you can play around with that if thats your thing...
  15. Mine did this in my PC and the GPU had died... Before it did so it through up some funny lines on my monitor and also got extremely hot. If its outputting from the motherboard then it'll be the gpu as the cable and monitor will be fine. Its one of those unfortunate things where you have a little scream and shout and then replace it. Good luck my dude
  16. I'd like to see the results from the 1050 running in 4K
  17. Personally, Save yourself the money and the potential hassle in the future. Look into the parts that you want and build your own... Yeah you won't have a computer right now but you will have one that you built and with parts that YOU wanted. The $300 that this is probably worth is probably much better in going towards a new system than buying this older system that will probably still struggle on a lot of newer games for sure. There are plenty of videos on the LTT YouTube channel that show PC builds at various price points. I'm not sure what your money situation is but IMO it would definitely be worth the wait to get something more future-proof.
  18. Yea do it, a 1080 will still be a great GPU even with the next gen ones on the market
  19. Nah im pretty sure this happens to everyone, its just the software i believe
  20. I mean if you are happy playing at lower fps on League etc and temps being cooler then yeah leave it on but if not then maybe upgrade your monitor?, I mean i have a 75hz monitor and i never have turned on v-sync, i see some tearing but never really bothered me, i've just got on with it. I am going to invest in a new monitor at some point anyway. Like i say, If you are not happy with the tearing then maybe upgrade the monitor i guess?
  21. Yes I’ve struggled to ever find something this cheap, I’d be interested to see something cheaper with the same specs as this one... It seems like a great deal to me considering I paid £160 for my current monitor and it’s only 75hz, no adaptive sync etc
  22. Hi all, https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-Response-Speakers-Compatible-G2770PF/dp/B013YIR5WU/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1518279213&sr=1-1&keywords=27+inch+144hz+1080p+monitor I am contemplating buying this monitor and wondered if anyone had any thoughts, opinions etc on the monitor..? I currently have an ACER KG271B that i would use as a secondary monitor and this new monitor as my main gaming monitor. I have a nvidia card but cannot afford to buy a monitor with g-sync, plus im not really too bothered about running games at much more than 120fps anyway so it shouldn't make a difference right? I saw this monitor and thought that the price was good, i really was looking at £150 but this seemed to tick all the boxes for me. I was simply looking for a 144hz. 1080p monitor that was 27 inches. Thanks for your help. PC Spec in bio.
  23. Unfortunately it will make no difference, i made the same mistake. Just upgrade when you can
  24. Probably something to do with Caps Lock / Num Lock being on accidentally
