My bad didn't mean to get your panties in a wad. I wasn't posting that your way was incorrect either, I was only stating a different angle.

@M.Yurizaki, the opposite can be said as well. You were born on the day before March 1st, regardless of the year. Logic fail lol. Edit: It would actually make slightly more sense to celebrate on February 28th, because then at least you're keeping your celebration in the same month.
  3. I'd disagree with the ITX part. I just built an ITX computer, and it was BY FAR the easiest to build, as well as super small and portable. It took me under 10mins to build it and 4 panel screws and I can open it with direct access to any part. I think a lot depends on the case you go with, but to rule them all out due to Mobo form factor is a bad way to go about it.
  4. Appreciate the input, and neat little rig you got man! I think I will order one today.
  5. overall do you like it and would you recommend it (disregarding price)?
  6. What GeChic one do you use if you don't mind?
  7. So would you recommend a more standard wall plugin monitor then over the USB powered ones? My backpack is quite packed once I'm fully packed up, so I would need something very slim, or have extra means of attaching it to my backpack. My current backpack is this CTA Console backpack https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Universal-Gaming-Backpack-PlayStation-XB360/dp/B01M2X4S9X When I'm all packed up I have the following all inside My desktop (8700k/1080) Power brick Logitech g603 mouse Logitech g613 full sized mechanical keyboard Logitech k830 Mouse/keyboard combo Xbox one controller HyperX Cloud Flight headset. 24x AA batteries for wireless peripherals in a single layer battery holder. Spare HDMI, Display port, and power cables.
  8. I completely forgot to include budget. Budget would be around 300$ or below preferably. Yeah I've noticed some have HDMI and would prefer one with HDMI or even display port if that's a thing. I just noticed there is so many choices between Asus and GeChick and few other brands, but all seem relatively similar. Just looking for recommendations preferably based on user experience. Want something slim that'll fit in my backpack with my computer and not be a burden to carry while providing decent potential as far as non-competitive gaming and general use like web browsing, web dev, etc work.
  9. I just finished my build and need to order a portable monitor today in order to get it by Friday (amazon prime). What are some good portable/usb powered monitors to travel with for gaming? I am traveling this weekend and won't have internet nor a TV and would ideally like a good portable monitor I can take with me and set up on the fly for gaming using an xbox controller.
  10. Definitely would go with the HP as well.
  11. 18 Seconds seems fine. I run a 960 evo m.2 as my boot drive as well and I get 13 Second boots. HOWEVER my stock bios was I think a 5 second splash screen or something ridiculous, and I changed it to a 1 second window to allow me to enter bios. So if I hadn't done that, I would be 4 seconds longer and been at a 17 second boot which is very similar to you.

    PS4 Scam

Sorry, that was indeed taken from my area of legality. This is based upon the laws regarding fraud in England (where the OP's profile says he is from). This is from the gov.uk site which is created by the "Government digital services". I'm not too educated in UK gov sites but I am basing this off the legitimacy within that site under the legal sector. the term “general fraud offence” may also denote a general deception offence. By this we mean (again, broadly speaking) an offence consisting in a deception which causes loss to another. Such an offence might or might not require proof of dishonesty too; but, even if it did, that requirement would be largely incidental. In most cases it would be the presence or absence of the element of deception that would determine whether the causing of a particular loss is or is not criminal. Again I am no attorney, I was merely providing information based upon my experiences. With the OP, the seller definitely used deception in the fact he did not disclose the fact that debatably over 50% of the operation of the console was rendered dead. Also per the gov.uk website, deception is based on dishonesty. Dishonesty being to act without honesty. Lying or being deliberately deceptive. The seller once again deceived him due to his dishonesty in regards to not disclosing the fact the PS was not fully working to the point of original operation. As I said before though, which does still apply according to the gov.uk website, it would be dependant on the situation if it's classified as criminal or just a "general fraud offence".(last sentence of my quote) Regardless if it is criminal fraud, or petty "general fraud offence" it could still be classified under fraud depending on your lawyer and how hard they push, and what angles, verbiage, and proof they bring forth. Also might I add under the Dishonesty and deception section I came across, not openly stating the full truth (like my example "It is working besides _______") is still classified as lying/dishonesty.

I definitely see your point, but in things like this "Working" unless stated otherwise, implies it is fully functional of all standard functions. In a sense, this would be similar to someone selling a "Working" TV, but all the input modules are burnt so it can only play the white noise channel 1 or whatever. Despite it powering on, that still isn't truly "Working". And depending on his area, it likely would fall under a civil suit outside of criminal law, but when a similar thing happened to me, it was a felony if the value was above 300$ at the time. This would definitely ofcourse depend on the cop, and your lawyer if you actually pursued it. Keep in mind this is taking it extremely far and 99.9% wouldn't happen due to the time investment to fully pursue it in court. I am just saying from the legal definition of the term. In court however, not disclosing the full truth (It basically works, except for.....function) is still classified as lying. To constitute fraud, a misrepresentation or omission must also relate to an 'existing fact', not a promise to do something in the future, unless the person who made the promise did so without any present intent to perform it or with a positive intent not to perform it. Promises to do something in the future or a mere expression of opinion cannot be the basis of a claim of fraud unless the person stating the opinion has exclusive or superior knowledge of existing facts which are inconsistent with such opinion. The false statement or omission must be material, meaning that it was significant to the decision to be made. "Misrepresentation or omission must also relate to an 'existing fact'" - The existing fact would be that online play is not working at all. The seller omitted this detail to make it more enticing for the buyer. "The false statement or omission must be material, meaning that it was significant to the decision to be made." - The buyer obvisouly wouldn't have purchased the product if he had known it was console banned from PSN. This would be a major detail that would indeed be "significant to the decision to be made" as it eliminates the capabilities of truly using the console.
  14. Also with the money saved if you go sata m.2, you could probably jump to 32gb ram. With a 8700k/1080Ti build, 32gb would fit in nicely.
  15. You could also likely replace the 960 evo with a standard sata m.2 I have a 1tb 960 evo, and 1.1tb crucial mx300 m.2 Evo has like 6x the speed compared to the crucial based on benchmarks. However in real world performance, my boot speed was only like 0.5second quicker and games were identical between the 2 drives with the crucial being 150$ cheaper. Only reason I kept it as my primary drive is because I do photography, and when I'm flipping through 800-1500x 24-48mb raw files and going in and out of develop mode in Lightroom, the speed adds up. Edit: I actually uninstalled all my games, and use the crucial strictly as a game drive & like 100mb worth of text/spreadsheet files and game screenshots.
  16. What is the build for? Gaming, Rendering, Editing, Streaming, Etc?

    PS4 Scam

Yes this is still classified as theft/fraud. I had nearly the same exact scenario happen to me previously. He purposely did not disclose a major piece of detail to the operational function of the device to knowingly deceive him. That is very much so theft/fraud. Not to mention, the threat alone of involving the police when they know they did the wrong thing will often times make them cave.

    PS4 Scam

Actually depending on your state, with the MSRP being $300+ depending on the games/controllers and such he got with it, that could be classified as felony theft/fraud/scamming all depending on how the officer goes about it. It's very easy for them to get in touch with people over social media these days. I see it regularly people getting busted due to FaceBook... Stolen property has to be tracked down, proved that so and so did it, find the property and such. With this being a face to face trade you've eliminated all those steps.

Then that makes it easy. Go to the police station with his name, you should still be able to pull up chat logs if on FaceBook and show that. The fact he blocked you makes him look guilty. Let the police get ahold of him for you.
  21. That's actually insane. Killer job!

    PS4 Scam

Did you contact who you traded it with? Honestly, I would make them trade back since it's essentially rendered useless as far as online play goes. If they refuse, a simple "You can meet me at the local police station then" should do the trick. That is still classified as fraud, even if on a very minor scale. He purposely didn't disclose the console ban in order to deceive you for personal gain. I had a similar thing happen to me in the past and when the guy from Craigslist refused a refund, police said they could call him and request the refund for me, or I could press charges for the value of the trade. Edit: I ended up texting him and said expect a call from the **PD (my town PD) in the next 5 minutes. The officer called him and explained that the situation would still be considered a criminal offense and I was more than able to press charges. Guy met me 30-45mins later at the police station and I got my money back.
  23. My exact points, thank you very much! However unlike the others, I DID actually provide the OP with sound advice, such as attending local workshops for free to get in person pointers and such.
  24. I would definitely run a roundover on it. makes it just look more "finished" in my eyes. Gives a sense of attention to detail.
  25. ZZZ you apparently don't read previous comments either. My reply was directed at AlistairMcKeon who said he agreed and disagreed with my point on getting a image off the camera being more of a professional workflow than using a cell phone to layer multiple shots. I never once stated that you said it was less professional. Not to mention, even after copying your quote to reference for AlistairMcKeon I used the verbiage "This was his post in regards...", when if I was talking to you directly I would have said "This was your post in regards...".
