A keyboard that has slight reliability issues doesn't make the computers bad. Plus, keep it clean and you don't have to deal with issues.

Source: I own a 2017 MacBook Pro, and it's regarded as basically the worst in terms of reliability.

These MacBooks get so much shit for being bad, and they just aren't. Are they the best that Apple has ever made? No, not by a long shot. But they're nowhere near the worst.

I wouldn't call it slight issues, I've got one of those 2016 models and there's at least 5 keys that register the key multiple times when typing which makes it borderline unusable, and it's been like that since a year after I got it. I didn't bother replacing it because I use an external keyboard anyway, and I wouldn't be able to work during the time it would take to replace it.

On top of that one of the speakers blew randomly when I plugged in the power cord a few years back, so it's far from the only issue these things have.

Is anyone surprised, Apple has always acted like this.

They should break down the price difference in the app as well so people are aware of why it costs more.

That's the thing, the "guidelines" from the app store don't allow that. If you state in any way that purchasing the subscription on your website is cheaper your update will get rejected. Take a look at the site that spotify put up summarizing the stuff they've had to deal with https://timetoplayfair.com/facts

  3. Since it'll probably have 16GB or more of ram it'll rarely have to use the swap, and if it does that would probably generate some stuttering which isn't desirable, so they'll try to avoid it. And even then, it would take thousands of hours of being memory-deprived for it to have any effect. a 500GB SSD usually has a MTFB of 200TB+ written these days, so that would take a very long time to reach.

I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I figured it would be mostly like the usual Paypal authentication for instance.

And for unused games, I mean will it stay in your acc? Do you legit need to link another Ubi acc to your Fanatical one to activate it? Is there an option to send it to someone directly? You see where I'm getting with this.

That stuff depends on how Ubisoft decides to implement it. If they do it the lazy way (probably will) then you'll just have duplicates I guess. They could implement it so you can choose how to activate each of the products, but I doubt they'll go through the effort to do that.

    1. What if you wanna sell a gift? Do you enter someones specific account and an let's say e-mail invitation gets sent?
    2. Security. I am sure not a lot of people will be happy with linking their accounts to third party sites, no matter which ones.
    3. What if you buy a bundle and already own some games? Do they get stuck between two worlds in vacuum?

To me it sounds like this is just a standard oauth authentication flow, like how you can login on some sites using your google/facebook/whatever account, I suppose they could make you choose on the ubisoft website if it's for yourself or a friend.

    2. Shouldn't be an issue, the third party site shouldn't get anything more than a user id and maybe an email address from Ubisoft, not your actual uplay credentials.

    And for point 3:  https://i.imgur.com/rUc2hMU.png

... Very useful, they just give you 2.

  6. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, every time I try to do my work on my windows pc instead of macbook some annoying windows-specific issue will pop up, wasting my time. Mostly due to the limitations of the filesystem.

I'm keeping windows as main os though mainly for the games and display drivers in general, I want the best performance as possible. Once gaming on Linux is as performant or better I'm definetly switching.

Do people really need all of that in their phones though? I've been using a 6s Plus since launch and find little reason to spend anything more than $750 on a new phone. Even then, I decided to upgrade my PC to Ryzen 5 instead of replace my 6s Plus with a XR.

Think about it, what would you do on an S10 (or any new phone) that I can't do on a 4 year old flagship...... Is it worth $1000+?

I'm wondering the same, 128gb storage for the base model seems like a huge amount, doubt many people will even use half of that. I'm still using an s7 edge and the only reason for me to upgrade would be because of a severely degraded battery or slow performance. Not having any of those issues yet, and battery in the s10 is even smaller than what I currently have.

I'm guessing they're jacking up the prices to counter the rising amount of people having a similar "my 3 year old phone is still good enough" experience, but I don't know if its actually significant

Apparently that kind of marketing works, but I have doubts about the claims of these GPUs. I guess we will have to wait.

I definitely would not complain if it was true after all, nvidia really needs some competition.

Everyone, it's the 3000 series graphics cards. It has to be better than everything else, no question.

IDK what AMD is doing with their naming scheme, it's worse than Nvidia.

Same thing they did with the chipset naming, since intel was at 2xx amd started at 3xx, to seem 'better'/newer to your average customer I guess.

That is a great price.  The 1080 GTX was like 700 dollars couple months back ago.  This 2070 will wipe the floor with the 1080.  Go for it and try to get it with no tax and free shipping if you can.  500 bones and 4k gaming youll get.

I doubt that you'll be able to find any cards at 500$ just like you can't find any 2080/2080ti's at msrp at the moment.

On top of that the price itself is too much too, a gtx 970 was 'only' 329$, 1070 was 379$ and now we're at 500$ for a 2070 just 2 years later. Can't image what the next series will cost if it keeps continuing like this.

And also answering calls, texts, and emails. It's a faster alternative to pulling out your phone every time you want to do something.

To me, though, this looks identical to the Series 3 watch. I don't see any difference in screen size.

I could see it being useful for a businessman or something, someone who gets called all the time. But for someone like me who rarely gets calls or texts, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of charging it everyday and wearing it. Not to mention the probably expensive pricetag.

Guys, please note: They did not really hide this informations. They just did not talk MUCH about it.

He said the Infiltrator Demo was running at 78fps.

You can go on Reddit and find that users with a capped out 1080 ti can reach 45fps.

Just do the math, and add some minor OC to the 2080 TI, then you get your 2-2x5 figure as well.

Again, he said that on stage. It was just ignored by a lot of people.

That would be nice if true, but I really don't trust nvidia and their sketchy graphs :P
