  1. My favourite thing about is are the buttons on the back, I am always mashing the lock key when I want to turn up/down the volume of my current phone.. Also, 25 units? That's insane!
  2. Why the comic sans and huge font :L That said, I switched to win 8 when I build my pc a year ago, and do not regret it. It's pretty much the same as 7 if you ignore the new start screen and install startisback, but little improvements here and there (e.g improved task manager, file copy screen and faster boot time) and it is slightly faster overall. And as other said, you can get it really cheap here (22€ atm)
  3. If it's only for streaming movies/series, check out plex It makes it possible to have one pc function as a media server, and any other device, be it a mac, pc, android device, ios device,.. can connect to it using an app or the web interface.
  4. Mostly every night unless I am downloading something.
  5. Try re-installing the drivers. I'm using 3 different monitors and it was saying I could not use any of them for surround until I re-installed the drivers which fixed it.
  6. Allright. Will purchase this then http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Gold-Plated-Active-Adapter/dp/B00879DM56/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402087860&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+to+vga Or is the input lag really bad, like 20 ms? It's not mentioned in the specs and reviews
  7. Would buying an active HDMI to vga adapter work then? It only has vga.
  8. Yeah i've tried that, also tried adjusting it manually so it fits but I can only adjust it for like 50 px so that doesn't work either.
  9. Hello everyone. I have a rather strange issue with a monitor when trying using nvidia surround. When I use the "activate all displays" option (so no surround is used) everything works fine, but if I select the option "span displays with surround", one monitor displays a stretched image, like it is displaying 1700x1080 instead of 1920x1080 so it looks crappy. The other 200 pixels are off-screen and the monitor claims it is displaying 1920x1080. This is my setup The "analogue display" is the one with the problems. Both left and right monitors have VGA only sadly enough so I'm using dvi to vga adapters. When I switch the cables of the 2 vga monitors(left monitor on gpu2 & right monitor on gpu1) I have the same issue on the same screen so it has to be related to the monitor, but I have no idea how to fix it. Do you guys have any suggestions?
  10. Hello everyone. I'm looking to buy a new monitor soon, preferably an IPS one. Screen size would be 21.5-22" at 1080p and I will mostly use it for browsing, some programming and gaming. I don't really want to spent more than 160€ (I live in Belgium). I've been looking at this already https://www.alternate.be/Dell/P2214H/html/product/1099255?tk=7&lk=6315 but I'm not sure since the response time seems quite high (8ms) when comparing it to others. Or doesn't it make that much of a difference? I'm fairly new at these kind of things. Thanks.
  11. I'm using the stock cooler on an i7 3770k and it's horribly loud in my opinion. All I am doing is browsing and the cpu is running at 40-45°C (104-113°f) while making too much noise for my liking. When I am not using headphones and using my speakers to listen to music (like now, rather quiet as others are sleeping) I can hear the fan over the music which is annoying.
  12. The engine for those "benchmarks" is still there though, they just removed the GUI elements. But it is still a pile of bullshit, there's no way I would get better results than the OP with my gtx660 Using a 840 evo 250 GB as primary disk so that also can't be correct. As for your build, I would have gotten a 780 TI instead of that expensive SSD 16 GB ram is ok in my opinion, I'm constantly maxing out my 8 GB. But you could have gotten the same amount of ram for half the price with almost no performance impact. Anyway, enjoy your build, you won't need to worry about disk space I guess
  13. Voted 12+ and sadly enough it's true.. 9 hours or something making projects for school, and like 3-4 hours personal use. The days I have to go to school (2 , sometimes 3) it's half of that or less since I lose at least 3 hours with traveling.
  14. Not that much The 3 on the right are mostly for school.
  15. Razer deathadder 2013. Reason why is mainly because I got it with a 50% discount and I didn't want to spent more than 50€ on a mouse, and partly because I don't need a ton of buttons. Good mouse overall, but the only thing I hate about it are the rubber side grips. They make my fingers sweaty and thus feel uncomfortable
  16. Our first pc here at home was a windows 3.11 machine with a 256 MB hard drive and a whopping 8 MB of ram, and a 66 MHz (or so, don't know exactly anymore) processor. Oh and it also had a floppy disk drive. My dad got it from his work since they didn't need it anymore, was in the year 1999 or so.
  17. I like how solid it looks. My galaxy s4's plastic looks feels way too cheap (and hot when using it)..
