  1. If it was 1440p it might have been worth it with it being 144Hz and quantum dot, but 1080p, for 1500$ ? Come on now...
  2. I too would help a bit if this project would be open source. Doesn't really have much downsides if you ask me. The requirements sound a bit much though, I'm hoping for the guy that gets the job that all what was described isn't going to be for one person or that guy will be having a hard time.
  3. That's nice I suppose, would buy it if it had at least 1440 vertical pixels, 1080 isn't really much at that size.
  4. Should be more than fine for now, I'm using a non-ti GTX 1080 with 3x 1080p and BF1 runs at about 70-80 fps, to give you an example
  5. Not necessarily, if you implement something wrong due to lack of knowledge it won't be as efficient.

    VR News

I disagree, I too have a Gear VR with the S7 edge and while playing games it's hard to 'unsee' the lack of pixels. I can clearly see the red/green/blue subpixels (or whatever they're called) while using it. As a result until we have at least 4k VR headsets I won't bother with VR at all, and the lack of content for it isn't helping too.
  7. I was talking about the 'high-capacity networks' as quoted in the article being overloaded. Because you know, those have limits as well. But I'm not sure if that was the case for this attack. Probably not, since that would require an immense amount of data.
  8. Whatever they do, the data from the attacks still reaches them(the network which blocks the traffic) thus using their bandwidth. And there is nothing you can do to stop them from doing that.
  9. Well even if they block the traffic, the traffic is still using up the bandwidth. Only defense to these kinds of attacks is throwing more bandwidth (and thus hardware) at it which isn't cheap.
  10. If only that would be true. Cheapest normal 1080 I can find here at the moment is 675 euro, or 750$...
  11. Thank god, popups like these just make me want to never visit the website again.
  12. This sure is an interesting product. Not something I would be able to afford, though.
  13. 750GB for just 200 euro sounds too good to be true, but would be really nice if it was. I'd buy one for sure.
  14. Is your 'power plan' from your pc on 'Power saver' Maybe? (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options) I've had this as well on my pc, if I turn on power saver it doesn't let the cpu exceed 1.76 GHz.
  15. Everyone should have an ssd in their system just because a HDD as primary drive is just too slow, even for your grandma ( speaking from experience, lol).
  16. I'm guessing it is slower because there are still some migrations running in the background which are pretty intensive on the server. It now takes about 5 seconds to load the main page, used to be 2-3 but I don't really mind I've also noticed it only takes 2 seconds to load when you're not logged in.
  17. This card has been out for two years already as far as I know... Or was that the mobile variant. Edit: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/140199-prepare-yourselves-the-three-new-behemoths-of-nvidia-are-here/ Almost two years.
  18. Great news. The sooner we get rid of old browsers the better.
  19. I didn't notice the last 9 in the price and got excited. Too bad, lol. Still, means OLED monitors are finally becoming a thing. I will buy one for sure when they get more affordable, the colour reproduction is just amazing.
  20. Didn't they do the exact same thing about 4 (?) years ago with skydrive? I seem to remember them also reducing the storage from 25 to 7 GB or something like that.
  21. I would give my dad a Moto G, he's still using an old blackberry and gets really frustrated when trying to browse the web on it because it is so slow and crashes a lot. http://www.amazon.fr/Motorola-3%C3%A8me-g%C3%A9n%C3%A9ration-Smartphone-d%C3%A9bloqu%C3%A9/dp/B012MRT14E/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449172468&sr=1-1
  22. Those headphones are looking very solid, I like the design.
