  1. I did, yeah. Ok thanks. Reckon bad RAM compat could cause other issues? As I've been having some buzzing noose issues when gpu is under heavy load but ive swapped everything other than the ram and cpu like 3+ times and its still there and it isnt a fan etc.
  2. To be honest I'm not 100% sure it is on the list but I find it strange it was working fine before? Would you suggest trying one that is 100% on the list and trying to get my money back for the others?
  3. So basically my pc was working fine untill I noticed that even though it was noticing all 16gb of ram I was only able to use 8gb. So I thought id resit the ram first to see if there was an issue. I took them all out and put them back in and now my pc is stuck in a reboot loop and is displaying error codes relating to memory. I have cleared cmos and have tested all sticks and all slots. I find it so strange as the pc was ok before that (other than the not reading all the memory) any ideas on things I can try?System isRyzen 1700Asus rog strix 1070Asrock taichi x370Ballistix lt 16gb 2400Corsair rm750x
  4. So insane coil whine on 3 gpus and/or 3 psus? Sorry, I don't think it can be normal coil whine. It has been the EXACT same sound and exact same properties on all combinations of components I have used.
  5. It is quite regular clicking sounds under certain loads. And I have changed psu 3 times, gpu 3 times and my motherboard twice and the noises haven't changed at all. Plus it is doing it at 60fps and below. I'm 99% it isn't just coil whine. There is an issue somewhere.
  6. So basically I have had so many issues with my pc since I built it. Mostly an odd buzzing noise that noone has been able to figure out (ive changed all parts pretty much 3 times except my cpu and ram so isn't coil whine etc). However, now I've noticer on high settings on some games, my psu is making a lot of clicking, popping noises... Im struggling to get a video/audio clip of the sound as all you can hear on videos is the fan where in real life the clicking is much louder than the fan. I have swapped psu 3 times so I don't understand how it can be that? My build is Ryzen 1700 (not oced) Asus 1070 rog strix 16gb ram 2400 Asrock taichi x370 Evag 650w g2 Surely my psu isn't too low wattage? I literally have no idea what to do.
  7. I did swap the psu once and it made it a bit better but maybe I was just listening out for it so I'll try one more psu. Do you think more wattage is likely to help the problem or should I keep the same? My system says it only needa like 380w or something and I have 650w but I'm thinking if I try a higher wattage it might help?
  8. Wouldn't the cooler make the noise during a cpu stress test though?
  9. As in on the mobo? I've swapped mobos and had no improvement. I did also run cpu-z and didn't get the noise.
  10. So maybe that is pointing to the noise/issue being caused by the cpu? But then again, I assume a cpu only stress test would show me if I'm having cpu problems? Unless it's some sort of issue with how the cpu is communicating with the gpu? I dunno. Very close to selling the thing for parts and moving on.
  11. Yeah it does seem to be. It's like a severe case of coil whine (gtx 1070 at only 60fps on most games) however, this is my 3rd card...so...seems very unlikely. I've also changed my psu twice.
  12. I will try those thanks. I did once try cpu-z and the noise wasn't there. I was just curious with the gpu tests as one caused the noise to be very present and the other was completely silent. The whole noise is a mystery. Tryed almost everything and it is still there and even experienced people have look at it and have no idea lol Sorry just another quick one, does Speedfan work on Ryzen?
  13. I have two questions really but my main one is... How can I properly test my cpu fan? I'm having an odd npise noise coming fron around my gpu/cpu and have almost ruled every single thing out. However, I am yet to see if it could somehow be my cpu fan. Is the best way to up the speed in Bios? Or run a Cpu stress test? Thanks for any help. My other quick question is related because basically the noise usually happens under load but when my friend was trying to rule out coil whine for me he ran both Furmark and Unigine under similar settings. Unigine still made the sound same as it would in a game but Furmark made not a single noise. Why could that be? I'm a bit of a noob so was wondering how those programmes differ and how one could still cause the issue but the other not (I tried Googling the answer but got confused) Thank you.
  14. Ah ok thank you. Just checking as I have an annoying buzzing sound that literally noone can work out. (Everything has been swapped multiple times/tested) so I basically wanted to check that everything seems to be running ok as I can live with a noise if it isn't causing harm. Thanks again.
