  1. just used google and i believe this what my case had, and mobo lined up i think. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/hphyqf/are_those_standoffs/
  2. Apparently my case has a builtin standoff already. right? https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/phanteks-eclipse-p500-air-atx-case-tempered-glass-drgb-satin-black/ph-ec500atg_dbk01.html
  3. I don't have standoffs. The mobo just fitted directly into the case, im unsure if it had one pre-installed or not. Yes I've had every PC i've owned on a carpet for over 10 years.
  4. well i just hope im not damaging anything using the pc as if nothing is wrong for now. my temps are fine and i get no errors anywhere.
  5. the picture i sent shows everything available, i even clicked the critical error directly in the picture
  6. when you say short i automatically think a electrical discharge, you don't mean that right? I've got major paranoia due to my last computer problem. My 5 year old setup ended up having my 980ti burn up and burning my motherboard, i still don't know the cause of that and people suggested it could be my extension lead i'm using so now i'm scared it might of done the same, but like i said i'm paranoid. i really don't want to dissemble the entire pc, i hate the though of this. I mean if I'm playing games as of now without problems, can it be really that much of a problem? I'll check the case in the morning when there's light. Which cable is more likely to be the issue here? the 24 pin connecter? seems every cable on the mobo is fully secure, i checked them all and reseated ram too. however my psu is inclose, so i need to remove back panel tomorrow and check the cables there, but surely if they are loose the pc wouldn't even be on, i don't get how a knock from the panel door would hard freeze. thanks for your reply!
  7. I've had so much bad luck with computers throughout my life. I can't believe it. This problem comes out of nowhere and my pc seems to be fine now but soon as I open my side panel on the case and then push it close, hard freezes my pc, what on earth is that lol. I can't even google such a problem, nothing comes up in regards of closing pc panel door.
  8. Not that I'm aware of. This problem would never happen before unsure why it happens now. But the first freeze today wasn't to do with the side panel door at all, so i'm very confused. The picture shows the error, what am i suppose to be looking at?
  9. Is there any other way to test the psu to determine thats the problem? I've checked all the cables on my motherboard. I will check the cables on the psu itself in the morning as it requires removing the other side panel. i also checked all the cables on my mobo, even reseated the ram and my pc still hard freezes when i push the side panel door shut.
  10. seems like there's a few critical from today, probably during the freezing? https://imgur.com/a/xF6B5gW also how would a dodgy driver cause my pc to hard freeze just from pushing my side panel door closed on the pc. for example if i open my side panel door now and push it shut my pc will hard freeze.
  11. which part should i look at exactly, system? https://imgur.com/a/OwnrzOu

  14. My PC is no more than 6 months old I assembled it myself and I've never had a single problem up until 1 hour ago. I was in a game and then randomly everything froze, game, mouse and keyboard then a brief blue screen occurred then PC restarted. I didn't get a chance to read the blue screen error code during that time. I turned PC back on everything seemed to be back to normal. Loaded up my game and about 10mins in the same thing happened. I restarted my holding power button on tower. I once again turned PC on and then when I got to the desktop I opened my side panel door to check inside, everything looked fine. I then pushed my side panel door closed then PC hard froze. I once again hold power button to restart, I tested this again and i pushed my side panel door closed and again pc hard freeze. what is the cause of this? i reseated my ram and checked all cables, everything is secure. i'm very worried, what is the problem here?
  15. First time upgrading to 1440p. Is this normal? I was using a 1080 24" for over 6 years. 3 days ago my new 1440p 165hz Dell S2721DGFA arrived. However I have multiple issues, when I watch Twitch streams they seem extremely blurry compared to watching them on my old monitor, why is that? Seems like any Twitch stream I watch now is actually awful to watch, is there any fix? Also I put a black image in fullscreen and in the corners I see small amount of light, I googled it and apparently thats normal however when I move my head from left to ride the screen visually goes a purple/pink haze colour. This picture for example, this is what i see when i move my head left to right on a black full screen image (i say black it looks grey, is that normal?) very concerned. https://imgur.com/a/THBWEC4
