  1. Solar generation happens at a DC level, so for instance, my solar goes from DC to A/C and then as devices get plugged in they convert back to D/C, rather inefficient and I've often thought at how nice it would be to not need that conversion.
  2. I'm in love with the Huawei Watch 2 (Classic) should definitely check it out 20 days or so in watch mode, 2 days in normal mode
  3. But I'm not really looking to post about those things, more so looking for people with those kinds of interests, to talk as friends perhaps play games with etc.
  4. Do you have lights on your motherboard that indicate what's wrong, also try reseating them again, you may not have pushed them all the way in.
  5. Okay so I currently have about the equivalent of dialup (Just a tad bit faster, it's very very very slow DSL). I also have a server that has a 1 gigabit connection, let's say I wanted to use the 1 gigabit server as a vpn and I wanted to compress all the packets using something like LZMA compression (Slow but good compression rates) before sending them to the client, and then the client decompresses it. Would this be possible? Are there solutions out there to do this? I'm looking at this from a totally theoretical standpoint as obviously using something like LZMA would be way too slow (Though I imagine LZ4 would make it possible with a fast enough system)
  6. Here's what I got from this "Things just load." - Docswag
  7. Just plug the 8 pin in and call it a day and yes your 875 watt psu should be just fine.
  8. Shh, if you say i5 it makes it sound super fast!
  9. Now it's not exactly how it sounds because a lot of people assume artistic people when you say creative but I'm looking for people interested in any kind of creative stuff, programming, art, etc. If you like doing DIY stuff then you are the kind of people I'd really like to hear from! Honestly it would just be super nice to have someone to talk to about those kinds of things, I am a programmer full time but when I get super excited because I solve an issue I've tried solving for three days now and I want someone to share in my excitement nobody quite understands! Or if I have an idea for how I plan to install solar panels I want someone who will give me some input or suggest something better! Anyway I use discord (Siedge#5482) or steam or whatever you wanna use just send me yours or whatever. Can't wait to hear from you!
  10. Yeah I'm running a Ryzen 7 with my 1080 ti and game wise I don't ever have issues hitting 60 fps so I think he would be fine there.
  11. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend 4k on a 1050 to anyone. Is it doable? Yes but it's going to be a terrible experience overall.
  12. For 4k I'm going to recommend a 1080 ti, and CPU wise you are going to be bottlenecking the 1080 ti regardless of what you go with so you would want to go with the highest end one you can afford. Pushing 4k is going to be hard as it is. (I have two 4k monitors and a middle 1440p monitor for gaming I've tried 4k gaming and even the 1080ti struggles at times)
