  1. Snapshot: Upgraded CPU & GPU. Multiple benchmarks (before/after) show PC is faster. Computer "feels" sluggish and unsure how to proceed. Help Need!!Upgraded my 2010 HP Pavilion Elite E9220f. I added a used Phenom 965 BE (125 TDP) CPU and a new GeForce 730 GPU. Device manager registers both with drivers updated. Motherboard's BIOS registers CPU. I can not find the latest BIOS version for the motherboard but the 965 CPU was created before the previous AMD Phenom 910, so I don't think it "should" be an issue. Monitoring the heat/fans show all components operating well under max temps and utilization on CPU cores shows them to also be minimal. (No Overclocking)PC appears to run sluggishly when starting up, logging in, and using internet browsers. I ran Novabench and Cinebench and results show the computer to be running noticeably faster than before. The power supply is 7 yrs old and only 300W , but I believe if the problem was due to the power the computer would be shutting itself down and/or not recognizing the GPU.So here's my question(s)... 1.) How could the PC be sluggish but showing faster then before (in benchmarks)2.) Is the only way to trouble shoot the situation by replacing the original components one at a time? 3.) Should I listen to the benchmarks or how my pc feels?
