  1. Hello all, I'm still kinda new to this RAID thing. The reasons why I got to know about it in the first place was from the guy building my pc at the time when i bought the parts. So my motherboard "MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ACK" went and died on me. So I bought a new one, a 12th gen Asus B660-Plus D4, and am trying to use the old hdd/ssds but I am not too sure whats going on. From what i know in the bios, the hdd/ssd are certainly hooked and working. So I assumed that its the RAID that causing this issue, but I have absolutely no idea on how to go about fixing this. Does anyone know how or should I just but a new m2 storage?
  2. Well i took a look at the mobo and there doesnt seem to be any cracks/bulge/leaks or any form of defomity. I tried testing the psu using the main cable for the 24 pins and a paperclip. So this is how it went, as mine is a Corsair RM750, its fan does not spin when its powered on. But there was this visible click sound when it turns on so i assume the psu is still in working condition, thus im thinking that it should be the mobo that died as it has been around 8 years since i bought it and used it till this day
  3. It might be that, though when i previously tested, I did not turned on the OC genie. I have a feeling its the mobo itself that became defective as it does not power up anything
  4. Oh I have a CPU: I7 - 4790K. As for the lights, it only appears on 2 spot as I turned the PSU switch at the back of the case on/off, which is are the rear panel reset CMOS button which is blue in color does not flicker, and the on board the power1 button which is green in color and also does not flicker. According to the manual, this Power1 : Power button is for manually turning the system on/off. My mobo also has a on board OC Genie switch, which can be in the on state [blue light, visible pushed down], off state [no lights, no visible pushed down]. By right even if the PSU is switch to the on state, the mobo should not turn on until it is turned on?, but even the OC Genie switch shows that it is immediately turned on when I leave it in the on state and switching on the PSU. I have also tried using a different monitor which works on another desktop, as well as switching it between the GPU and the mobo hdmi slots, the monitor also reads that it is connected to the said slots
  5. I doubt its the screen as although the screen is powered on by its power source, it doesnt turn on at all, i uave tried with another monitor as well. It would be booting and entering post if the rest of the cpu fans were running but none of this had started up at all. As pressing the front panel power button does nothing. As mentioned previously the on board power button immediately lights up as green the moment the psu is turned on
  6. My pc wont boot at all and i have no idea why. It was working fine previously i turned it off for like 7 hrs then came back to turn it on but it wouldnt boot at all. Thinga i have tried so far - replace cmos - unplug and replug everything - use the bare minimal component required to boot -reset cmos. - turn off psu I still have no idea why i have the blinking blue lights when i hold the power button in the front panel for a few sec. As well as why the on board power1 button is constantly lit green. Please tell me why is it like this?
  7. Im not sure if this is weird or not but i feel like there is an issue, not too sure what it is but would like to clarify if this is normal. 1) Power on - hears a beep sound, fans starts spinning and led also starts to light up, suddenly everything seems to power down, and then power on again 2) Goes into BIOS directly instead of going to login page, also checked that the go to BIOS option was unchecked so it shouldn't have went in 3) I exit out of BIOS 4) Goes to Login page, hears another beep 5) Login and loaded into desktop, hears another beep after i think around 5- 25 mins Is this beeping normal?
  8. I've just checked whether its my gpu, and it isn't, so i can most likely confirm that it is the monitor itselve, as turning it on and off it stills shows the horizontal lines starting from the right to left it changes color from white to black
  9. I guess there isnt any fix for this? I had thought it was a burn out
  10. Sorry about that, here is the picture
  11. Hello all, please advise on what i should do with my monitor: Acer Nitro VG252Q P 24.5 inch IPS Gaming Monitor with 144 refresh rates. Bought it on Jan 2019 Not sure if u guys can see the lines on the picture, but the lines are horizontal in nature, there are 2 colors for the lines, and they are one bright one slightly darker, I have no idea why it suddenly became like this. I was away for 30 mins and i came back to see my monitor like this, things i have tried so far: - tried shutting down my pc - removing the HDMI only - turning the monitor on and off without HDMI inserted, the lines were still there and the color it booted was from right to left of the screen - Remove all insertables and pluging them back in - Scanning my pc What happen to this, is a mystery, as no one was touching it at all.
  12. Oh i see, Thanks for the first issue solution
  13. Hello everyone, and thanks for taking the time to help me resolve this. The first issue im currently facing, is when i boot my computer, gives me this messgage " All setting have been reset to default values" no idea why it does this every time now The second issue which im also totally cluesless is that, i recent added a 2nd monitor to my pc via integrated graphics, and my audio for some reasons sounds softer than before. and i had set it to the maximum volume of 100 and its still softer than before.
  14. Hello all, does anyone has any clue on how to pick a Lan Card, my onboard z97 gaming 9 ack ethernet which is the Killer E2200 ethernet controller seems to be having issues due to it randomly disconnecting. I checked if its the wall socket issue or my ISP using a switch but it wasn't. So here I am trying to find a new Lan Card but i have no idea what to pick.

    Help needed

Thats it im doing a complete reformat hopefully that will help, now i need help regarding instaliing of the os only onto the ssd and not the hdd
  16. I need aid, my pc went nuts as it has a long start up, loading when login takes ages, this all dtarted when i went to c drive users and set folders to hidden than unhidden which somehow made my firefox inaccessible.
  17. Whoa thanks for the fast reply, now i see how to properly debug. Was confused at first
  18. I am having an issue where my memory when checking in the task manager displays 90%-100% usage, and i doubt its firefox, i closed all my programs etc and still experience this. Apparently when run overtime without any memory heavy programs turned on, for some reason most of my 16gb ram memory goes to Non-Paged pool under the performance tab of my task manager, I have checked the regedit and it displays 0 hence it should by right be optimizing itself. To be honest what exactly is this non-paged pool used for? Whenever it takes 10gb ++ my other programs will start slowing down as well.
  19. I know this is a totally newby question, but how do you actually debug. Is there like a line of code that you need to type out to debug or is it just base off the debug console where it shows the error messages and what not. Sometimes i even experienced errors when there is no errors to be found, i don't actually get it at all.
  20. So getting a lower one is more safer then a higher one?
