i downloaded all the software on the asus site as per instructions. did the Aura Sync and Armory package and was able to play with the lighting effects.
Then i did the BIOSupdate... now I cannot get the light bar on. uninstalled everything and re downloaded. nothing.
can I uninstall this BIOS update?? please say I did not break a 1000 card in 20 minutes of using. dont even know where to find the file!

u may still be able to go for a vega 64 before upgrading your cpu. but more than that it will probably start to bottleneck. And yes, if the pc still fits your uses just keep it.

Only upgrade if your performance doesn't meet your standards, simple as that. If your current CPU does everything you need, Ryzen won't make a difference.
 
I'd still be using my 4790k if I didn't win my 8086K.

the new Ryzen 5 3600 which is the lowest end chip in the new Ryzen line is literally an i7-8700k, which is MUCH better than the i7-4790K. the Ryzen 3700X/3800X/3900X will be a HUGE increase in performance. So yes, it is well worth the upgrade.

Are you asking if you should upgrade your 4790K to a Zen 2 CPU?
 
I mean... it completely depends on you, not random people telling you "go for it". Are you currently satisfied with what you have? if you are then what is the point of upgrading?
 
A 4790K alongside a V56 sounds to me a perfectly balanced gaming system and if gaming is your priority and you feel you're not being limited by your CPU then upgrading it is pointless regardless how much of a performance boost and headroom you get.

You bought the wrong cable kit. The AXi and AX are different series. The AX uses a 24pin motherboard connector that is unique to that series and isn't used on other Corsair models.

JonnyGURU is another great source as well. He works for Corsair as well and is considered a god in the PSU world. 

If you have any questions, @CableMod is present here on the forum as well. If you're absolutely sure the kit is said to be good from them, beyond the 24 pin, then should be good. I trust Cable Mod, they have been doing this for quite some time now and know what they're doing. 

Pin-out positions on the end of the PSU may vary between vendors (and even between models from the same vendor). If you have a problem with the 24 pin layout, chances you may have an issue with the PCIe cables as well. Don't risk it.

I've been meaning to add this type of game to my Steam library for a while now. Anyone know if this game is any good? I'm not a huge fan of JRPG's but they do interest me quite a bit. Pretty sure I can't go wrong for $1.00 can I?

Links still work for me, but from the looks of it the birch one isn't available anymore. The only birch table top that I can find is this one: Karlby. And then you have these two as the only other naturally finished ones: Hilver and the Gerton. For gray options, these two version of the Klimpen are your options: smaller, larger.
 
EDIT: Ignore what I said above. Looks like you can look at the Linnmon and pick from the drop down menu for the finish. Still no birch though.

I'm moving to a house this summer and as a part of that I'm planning upgrading my setup. starting with my desk. So I was thinking about getting myself a Ikea Karlby with the Alex drawers. But I'm unsure about the monitor stands. what do you people think looks best?
If I go with the one singel like I got now I would just hide the center speaker behind the monitor (I know that's not ideal but it looks better  ).
 
Also if you got any other suggestions I'd appreciate it!
