Decided to go down to 4.4ghz for better temps at 1.153volt i get a blue screen after 5 mins
dialed it to 1.154 (dunno why it says 1.155 in hwmonitor) and it is stable with memory xpm profile 2133 mhz
its my first build and first time overclocking so dunno if its good enough.
here is a part list http://pcpartpicker.com/user/dsid/saved/jFgzK8
Well i am not hyped at all. Eu has so freagin huge taxes that i dont think they will make a major competition here in The Netherlands and there are enough online pc parts stores already, its a walk in stores that we miss.
Does anyone know the values for active pixels, front porch, sync width etc. for custom resolution of 960 by 540 pixels on nvidia?
been messing around with values but cant get it quite to work, only been getting 720p output.
how big are the screens? at most 6 cm? lets say 3 inches
so 1280x720 with 3 inches input it here http://www.sven.de/dpi/
we get 489.53 PPI
thast more than 4k on 20 inch monitor
or am i wrong?
Dont have plans to upgrade it in 4 years down the road, Ivy it is then.
EDIT
thanks for the post, was very informative
Really want an intel
Edited first post.
Ok i am planning to buy a new pc (for gaming) and stuck between choosing Haswell
or trusty old Ivy Bridge with 2 choices that i have in mind.
As cooling i will be using Corsair Hydro Series H100i
1: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K (€ 207.90) + GIGABYTE G1.Sniper M3 (rev. 1.0) (€ 99.90) (with total cost of € 307.80)
2: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K (€ 202.90) + ASRock Z87M Pro4 (€ 107.90) (total € 310.90)
I am currently leaning towards option 1 because of no lottery haswell chips.
So would like to hear opinions of people with more experience.
