Profile Information

  • Biography
My name is Dean, I'm on the internet too much.

I would consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about computer components and general technology, and will gladly help anyone with questions.

I play a lot of games too, mostly CoD 4, Blacklight: Retribution, and CS:GO. I'm Big_Dean on Steam, add me if you want to play sometime.

  1. Thanks for the suggestion, I will be trying this, I will report back when its done!
  2. Nope, all of the other parts were running fine before i replaced the hdd.
  3. I'm trying to install Windows 7 64-Bit off of a disc, it's been giving me an x64 Exception Error with a ton of numbers listed after that. My specs are: AMD Phenom II 965 BE MSI 890GXM-G65 Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR3-1333 Seagate Barracuda 500GB ASUS GTX 550Ti I would appreciate if someone could help me, I've been trying to do this for a few hours but haven't been able to find anything online.
  4. The Corsair HX650 is a good choice for almost any build, especially in your case. 650 watts is a good size to allow some breathing room, you could go with something like a 450w, but you'd probably be running at close to max wattage during heavy tasks, and you wouldn't have any room to upgrade. It's also modular and is 80+ Bronze certified. At the price of $130 USD (http://goo.gl/ID0CU) it would be a very good choice for your purposes.
