@bitwit It appears to be missing from the voting options, but I vote for the option where you don't use one of the worst 'brand name' power supplies to power a system with an RTX graphics card (an RTX 2080 judging by the 1x8pin + 1x6pin!)

C'mon Bitwit, even if you're not sponsored by a PSU brand surely you can do better than a crappy $37 group regulated PSU. You're giving me flashbacks of the time you replaced the Great Wall PSU in the Walmart PC with a Seasonic M12ii.

@jonnyGURU Think you can convince the marketing department to do a sponsorship deal for Bitwit? Throw a few CX550s his way, maybe even a TX550m... Please... For the sake of people who watch his videos :D

A lot of them use crap PSU's.

Only very few actually do use good ones and you can count them on one hand and have a bunch of fingers left over.

YT seems to be getting worse as time goes on as far as the quality of the subject matter, it's more about them hearing themselves talk these days.

That's why MOST of the worst threads start with "I saw this video" ?

Not so much here, but over on Toms Hardware we get a ton of PSU related threads, it really is unbelievable how bad they are.

Between YT and some forums that they got bad advice from that I won't mention they end up over on Toms Hardware for us to fix it.

    Happens a lot. ;)

@Spotty The PSU's were chosen for their non modulator and difficulty to cable manage. (I'm watching the video)

Also yes it's an RTX 2080

Oooh Look at you with your fancy Bitwit Floatplane Subscription.
    Just kidding :D

If it's just there purely to demonstrate how to cable manage a PC, then yeah that's fine.
I did get a little concerned when I saw it on Twitter though. I thought it might have been one of his "Pimp my Rigs" upgrades that he does where he stuck in a RTX2080 but kept the same PSU the system originally had :|

Nope, it was a cable management competition between Kyle and Heather, with Chris Paul and Twitter being the voting mechanisms. To the best of my knowledge these systems were never shown on camera powered on.

Still zero excuse for even having that POS in the same building with that system. ;)

Gives the bad impression that it's a good PSU.

Wonder how many misinformed people bought that POS PSU thinking it's good due top the video etc?

Even one is way too high.

IMO they need to have their channel removed form the internet permanently and never be allowed to do it again for the rest of their lives.
