  1. @LinusSebastian Have you looked into your sync settings such as email? Since you're such a busy guy, you probably receive a gorillion emails every day. If you have your sync setup like every few minutes, your daily driver could be pulling in a huge amount of email checks every few minutes, causing battery drainage.
  2. No, but reinstalling windows every now and again isn't a bad idea to start from a clean slate.
  3. You're going to receive pushback from them on implementing a database system it sounds like. I would suggest showing samples of databases and how they are used in basically every company. I would suggest doing a phased roll-out with a individual hands on approach with each person in the company. Like, actual one on one time with each person who will be using this with a setup of the old version and the new version running next to each other and how they both accomplish the same and new tasks. I would also try to show your management how much more effective a new database system would be and a rough guess on how many hours it will save per year or something like that. Many tech illiterate managers don't really understand how new things work and are scared of change. The one big point in this though is that you will NEED to make sure the database has backups and cannot destroy the company if it isn't properly backed up in any way and a massive failure happens. From what it sounds like, your managers are scared of a situation like that and rightfully so. I'd also suggest maybe contacting other employees from other companies through Linkedin or something and asking how they tackle that issue.
  4. Press and hold the powerbutton or simply disconnect the PC from the outlet.
  5. Just power it off fully, then back on again and see what happens.
  6. That's about as good as you could probably get for under 300
  7. Have you tried just keeping the wire there?
  8. So 10/100/1000 means that you will be able to accept at most 1000MB's a second from whatever source it is feeding from. The highest number is the top speed you will be able to actually use while running that device. I have 1Gb/s internet, so at most, my 10/100/1000 Ethernet port on my PC that is connected directly to my router can accept ~880Mb's a second.
  9. You'll need to upgrade to the newest version of windows, keep looking around in your updates. You'll have to upgrade to whatever the latest creators update is out there. Without that, Nvidia will refuse to upgrade your drivers.
  10. Here's a article when looking up what a silicon screen protector is. https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/4/21/15388476/samsung-galaxy-s8-invisibleshield-glass-screen-protector tl;dr: don't get a silicon screen protector
  11. Hi, does anyone have experience with powering a WS2812B strip with the 5v rail on a molex port? I am using a arduino to control the LEDs and just need something to power it. Thanks!
  12. I found a old hard drive and was wondering how to get back the files that are on it. https://imgur.com/XVvS2W1 I did a quick scan with recuva and found that I still have a bunch of files still on it, just not showing up. How can I get this drive back and to reover the files left on it. Thanks!
  13. So I went to my goodwill and picked up this baby I was wondering if I could get filled in on how maximum power works on this amp. Is it like a power supply and that it stops at 340W? Or is there another stat I don't understand. I've been trying tor read articles on this subject but I'm not really get a understanding of it, Thanks!
  14. Ah, that makes sense, I just have one question, how do I plug in a receiver to my pc? Is it just a RCA-3.5mm plug or is there multiple other plugs I need to get? Thanks!
  15. I am a complete noob at setting up audio and the basics of how it works so please bear with me. My uncle gave me a 2 front speakers (https://i.imgur.com/Qe5z2UM.jpg), 2 rear speakers (https://i.imgur.com/QUiWFfO.jpg), a center speaker (https://i.imgur.com/iaFmwnE.jpg) and a subwoofer (https://i.imgur.com/2dNaXAO.jpg). My motherboard (https://i.imgur.com/wZRbgHW.png) has these connections along with an onboard Creative Labs sound card. I also have a RCA-3.5mm splitter line wire. My aim is to have a surround sound setup for gaming. What type of stereo receiver or amplifier would I need to do a 5.1 surround setup? Thanks in advance!
