    did you look at the new xps 15? that one seems to be a good workhorse of a laptop, claims 17 hours of battery with the 1080p ssd non gpu config

    I've been looking at this for me personally: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010SBB27U?colid=17NZSO32W90S4&coliid=I127K9TFMLJA14&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl Took me a bit to find something below $1000 that had an i5, 8gb of ram, and an SSD. Something to travel with. I can't imagine the annoyance of EU pricing :c

    all i can say is for your work workstation laptops would be best but they do cost a fair chunk
