  1. You can watch it on spotify now too which is pretty huge
  2. To be honest they could have scammed a lot more effectively. For a tech minded audience and such a big one at that a custom scam like a "linus coin" would have been way more effective.
  3. Looks like floatplane is chugging too. Cant renew or start new subscriptions. Silver lining is at least floatplane may have an uptick in subscribers. We I initially couldn't find Wan show, i thought they may be floatplane/spotify exclusives. Oh side note seems wan show on spotify has finally been granted video too.
  4. Bet they use the same passwords too. Its quite sad how none of this is taught in schools.
  5. I find it funny that this is the opinion og most of the people in tech and we get told not to worry pby people who are not in tech.
  6. My childs school actually had a go at me for complaining that they posted pictures of my child on the schools facebook page and even tagged her name. Most people dont even think about security. Once they put that picture up, it can never truly be taken down even if they "delete" it.
  7. Hi, I long ago decided that pictures of my children would not be posted online or on sites like facebook etc with some exceptions. Much to the initial detest of extended family. Now that AI has the ability to ingest that imagery, for people with children and allow this has your opinion changed? Where people in the future/ future classmates/ lovers can request these images to be edited now without their consent. I know Linus debated this internally and would love to hear peoples thoughts. How do you manage this in an increasingly digitised world.
  8. get the bing chat ai to design a computer for you in the style of linus. Get real linus to do the same. at the end, compare the pair
  9. As I work in HIFI circuit board design, I feel alot of my job is quickly going to get surpassed by AI in the future such that I can ask "design me a board that takes in 5 analog signals, captures the streams to A 2gb ram buffer and can interface with usb 3.1". it will do it, choose components and even route the board.
  10. Mine if I asked "Did Linus look sick in his last video" -> would mean it scrubbed the video and did an analysis on linus. "Can you headhunt me a person to fill the role of ____ at my company LTT" -> if it recommended potential employees in the area with experience open for work.. wow. What about you?
  11. With the ChatGPT3 release recently, the benefits/potential uses of AI are becoming more mainstream. One thing I am personally very interested in is the use of AI for development.I know that luke has touched on the use of the the chat AI on programming. One thing I think the world is missing is how this kind of AI can be used tro revolutionise printed circuit board design. Can you imagine if you could ask a program in raw text to design a pcb to "detect if someone is in a room and if so turn on a light, also make it connect to wifi" Well we are very close. what would this mean for the world and places with electronics engineers like LTT?
  12. I have an electric scooter and a workstation pc. I take both too and from my home and office (when I decide to work from the office), plug the scooter in to charge and plug my workstation into a dock on both ends. My job involves heavy simulation and large sets of data hence a pc rather than laptop. I think it would be cool to fit my computer into my electric scooter and just plug that in. I would love to see LTT to do a video on making a escooter gaming machine for lan partys etc. maybe even a competition with a scooter race and a heavy benchmark, Fastest overall time wins. Picking parts that are rugged and not likely to break on the daily commute will be especially interesting.
  13. Some dude suggested i post this here. Here is my breifcase pc. Would love to see a video where linus and alex each make one. I got my briefcase from a second hand shop so can be done very cheaply. It would be great to have a jankfest build from linus vs a nice machined alex version, or vice versa!
  14. Would love to see a linus verse alex breifcase build video
  15. Unfortunately the downside is I have to take out the battery to fly because of this reason. However I have flown with it full of stm32 boards wires and breadboards thankfully with no issues
