  1. You have to understand just using a CPU reduces its lifespan. A moderate overclock with small voltage boosts shouldn't reduce the life of a CPU so much that it would die any time soon.
  2. If you have the money then put a custom loop in your pc. Using water to cool your CPU and GPU will keep things pretty damn cool, plus water blocks on GPUs look sexy as hell.
  3. Worth it for single drive laptops. Just remember that it Works for windows only. The software is needed to configure the drive. Also I believe formatting without the software combines the SSD with the HDD partitions. You need to be careful when using this drive.
  4. Although the Noctua NH-D15 does keep cpu temps cooler than some AIO liquid coolers, wont case ambient tempreatures be higher since the air is just beeing blown into it? I think I would rather trade off a few degrees for cooler case temps.
  5. Monster has their Turbines and Turbine Copper on sale! Regular Turbines http://www.monsterproducts.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3959&id=11133 $47.95 Turbine Pro Copper http://www.monsterproducts.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=6798&id=9136 $149.95 This sale has been going on for a while now and I have no idea when its gonna end. I just bought the regular Turbines a few days ago and they just came in. let me start off by saying they don't come in regular retail packaging. They come in a box that says monster turbine with just the headphones and a bunch of medium ear tips. No manual or accesories. Edit: Sorry I didnt notice the Coppers are all sold out but for 50$ the Regular turbines are a steal. Also using discount code : HOPON15OFF gave me 15% off my total purchase.
  6. I wouldnt want to push anything higher than 770s SLI on 750 watts. Even that might be too much. It all depends on how much components you have in your setup and if you're overclocking. You also need to make sure the PSU has enough 6-8 pins to power higher tier cards. Make sure the rails have enough power going through them.
  7. An SSHD (solid State Hybrid Drive) is a Mechanical HDD tha uses a small amount of Flash memory storage as cache to speed up the your most used programs. The WD Black 2 Dual drive is a SSD + HDD Drive. It has a 120GB SSD and a 1TB Mechanical hard drive in one. For a single drive laptop the WD black 2 is a good option since you can actually install stuff onto the SSD (Like OS/some games). On the other hand the SSHD uses all flash storage as cache.
  8. #WantsFreePhone. Tired of plastic. I loved my Note 2 for what it was but Samsungs build quality just feels....cheap..
  9. I had this problem and it turns out it was a bad driver. Try downloading the latest driver but not installing it yet. Uninstall your old driver and delete any left over folders. Restart your pc. Clean Install your new driver and hopefully profit.
  10. Are you overclocking through bios? XMP profile on? You dont want c states or EIST on? with them off your running cpu and max frequency 24/7. This is pointless when your just bowsing the web or having the pc idle. Seems strange why its not saving your settings though.
  11. Minimum cpu freq shouldn't matter. For some reason your pc is telling Samsungs Magician that your max cpu freq is 800mhz and that's whats locking it. Try updating your bios or setting your profile to performance in power options. see if that fixes it. Raising your minimum freq isnt the problem.
  12. I Have a Dell Inspiron 7000 which is good for light gaming and has decent battery life. http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-7537/pd?oc=dncwb1565s&model_id=inspiron-15-7537 There's a couple different versions but I opted for the one with the 1080p touch screen, i7 4500u and nvidia 750m. Its good for light gaming and lasts a good while on battery (web browsing and videos). Gaming on battery drains it a lot faster though. Edit: Woops I didn't see it was for India. Dell should still have them out there but I'm not sure about prices.
  13. Hes having frame drops and when frames go from 600 to 300, there's gonna visible lag. Honestly I would just frame lock it to 200 or something. You don't need 600 fps in Cs:go. Maybe the game isnt running right because of too many frames? lol. Theres a command you can input into the console to lock frames. I think its something like fps_max xxx. xxx Being the frames you want to cap it at so for example: fps_max 200 caps your frames at 200.
  14. a 560 ti 448 core is more of a down tuned 570. Its a decent card but they aren't common so even though its kinda old, its still expensive.
  15. As long as they are both GTX 460s then yes. They will run with the lower cards vram/clock speeds though. In this case your limited to 768MB of ram.
  16. While I agree that 64Gb is Way over kill for a pure Gaming pc, 3GB for 4k gaming can be enough to "Play". You just wont be able to max out certain settings like AA and High textures. An SSHDD does not hold the same performance of an SSD. Although SLI scaling does go down a lot after a second card I wouldn't say its "Hardly any performance difference". I want to say it was something like 20% per card. I do agree that its not worth it to SLI after a second card but still its the only way to get more performance since theres not anything faster than a 780 Ti atm.
  17. Vertical sync will cap you at 60 Fps because your refresh rate is 60hz. You can go higher than 60 fps but you have to disable vsync. You will also start to see tearing in some games by doing this though. In youtube a 1080p video will almost always look better than 720p even at a lower resolutions because of quality loss from compression. This probably holds true to most videos you watch unless they are un compressed.
  18. People say its expensive because it is. 10,000$ is alot. There is a difference between expensive and getting what you pay for though. Like you said, you pay alot but you get a very powerful work station. Premium comes at a price whether its a Custom built pc workstation or a Mac.
  19. a 780 Ti will not outperform a 770 in SLI. The major downsides for SLI 770s are Power consumption, Heat and memory bandwidth. For 1080p though the bandwidth is more than enough. if you want highest performance for the money than a 770 SLI > a 780 Ti but if you get a 780 Ti you can always SLI in the future (Expensive). SLI can have more problems than a single card solution but with Most AAA title games this isnt much of an issue. I haven't heard of any modern demanding game that doesn't support SLI. Just know that there will be some games where SLI wont scale properly and sometimes you need to wait for Nvidia to release SLI drivers to even utilize a second card (usually doesn't take long).
  20. 780/780 Ti/Titan/TitanBlack are all the same GPU with slightly different configs. Maxwell is meant to Improve performance while consuming much less power and being more efficient. a GTX 880 will probably (no one will know for sure until release) be about the same performance as a 780 Ti Going by how passed generations have faired with the newer ones. Its all up to nvidia if they want to release a faster card or not. My guess is when AMD announces a new super high end gpu Nvidia will Just come out with a faster card with more cores to compete with it. Thats what they did with when the 290x came out right? So I guess in short my answer would be yes, if they need too.
  21. GTX 750 Ti isnt SLI capable and if it was, it would perform similarly to a 770. I would go 770 and if more power is ever needed, SLI that later down the road.
  22. A 7970 will be fine. Like I said just because its being held back a little doesn't mean it wont perform well. Just not as fast as its capable. It should still run great. If I was you I would take the time and learn a bit about overclocking. It can come in handy and you might be able to push your cpu a little bit farther. It can help relieve some of the "Bottleneck" too.
  23. Just get a faster gpu. Just because your cpu is bottlenecking a gpu doesnt mean you wont see improvements. It just means the gpu is being held back a bit. upgrading gpus will still show improvements especially going from low end to high end. Your cpu isnt THAT slow. So 4Ghz is the fastest it will overclock? are you running stock voltage? Edit: Well I mean a slow cpu wont show improvements on GPU upgrades but in this case your fine.
  24. I'm thinking of getting one for my single bay Laptop. Know that when first installing, its only the ssd. It comes with software to activate the 1TB HDD after. I think you need to software to format it too or it will format as 1 whole partition. Also I believe it only works on windows.
