    PC Speaker Setup

Yeah the whole center speaker thing was really dragging it all down. Thanks for leading me in the right direction with the powered speakers.

    PC Speaker Setup

So I wanted to revamp my PC Audio setup from 2.1 Computer Speakers to a Stereo/Center Bookshelf setup, and I have no idea what to buy in order to properly power/connect these speakers to my pc: Stereo http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-Bookshelf-Speakers-Tweeter/dp/B009IUIV4A/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437277141&sr=1-2&keywords=micca+speakers&pebp=1437277155078&perid=0CWB1SS5TXBP7TFD2YGX Center http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-C-Channel-Speaker-Tweeter/dp/B00HH2GINM/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437280953&sr=1-7&keywords=micca&pebp=1437280971241&perid=1Z3YJDTKX8YESCSHT7PG BTW i'm a newb at audio so please feel free to make a better suggestion in terms of what to buy. I just want good audio quality with some bass, and enough power to fill a small room. The center channel is only there because i can get both for around 100$. Thanks
  3. Lol yeah. thanks for helping me plan it out! i think i'm going to go through with it now.
  4. So in terms of feasibility , the only fan i could mount to the front would be the middle 120, since the top is too far and the bottom is blocked by the HDDs. So then like you said, mounting that other rad to the back would work, especially when i saw the below pic So now it's just a problem of fan placement. So theoretically i could do this, but that would leave me with a 140 lying around. Should I just double up on the 120 Rads in push pull and then place the 2 140s on the front?
  5. So basically I have 2 Gigabyte 7950s and they are coming apart at the seams, cooler wise. The shroud fell off, one fan fin broke, and the list goes on. I was looking into a Kraken cooling solution, which thankfully still is compatible with my cards. However I don't have a clue of where to put the radiators if i were to buy them. Here is my planned list of parts 2 Kraken G10 2 Corsair h55 2 Shims for 7950 My Case is the Rosewill Rise, and here is the radiator/ fan compatibility pic. I have already installed 3 Truequiet 120s in the front, one Truequiet 120 + Seidon 120V on top left, and Truequiet 140s at top right and Rear i/o One idea was to place both rads on the front, like the below pic, but i don't know if the screwhole placement in the Rise makes that possible, or just shear length of the H55 tubing
  6. So I recently got the Rosewill Rise case (very awesome case btw) and the internal 9 hub fan hub is powered by a molex plug , thus making all the fans run at max RPM. I was deciding on whether or not i should just buy new fans, specifically the Antec Truequiet 120/140, since they have a built in speed controller, or just buy a 5.25 fan controller. They both end up at the same price range since the Truequiets are $8-$9 each and buying six (3 120 front/ 2 140 top /120 back for rad) would get me to $50 Fan controllers like the Lamptron FC5 V2 are more along the lines of what I'm looking for to match the case.

  8. Thank you everybody for your replies. i've made up my mind 4690k it is.
  9. no doubt about it. the fx 6300 is extremely versatile when pairing it with GPUs. and only 100$ if you get a good deal.
  10. seems like a pretty good idea, but i personally think the 3570k option is becoming less and less reasonable, seeing that black friday is coming up in a couple weeks, there's probably going to be some 4690k/mobo deal that makes getting the 3570k pointless. but if Black Friday was not this close, i would probably do what you said and just get a better mobo with the 3570k.
  11. Yeah i was leaning towards that option more than the others. The 3570k bottlenecks the 7950s in Crysis 3 :http://www.overclock.net/t/1367394/3570k-bottlenecking-7950-crossfire-in-crysis-3 And the AMD option is not going to help either. thanks for the input.
  12. Hello I would like to upgrade my PC's mobo and cpu. I have: CPU: FX6300 RAM: 8Gb Corsair Vengeance Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P PSU: XFX 1050w pro GPU: 2x 7950s (gigabyte) anyways, the point is, i have 3 options that i can choose from: 1: Just upgrade the CPU to a 8350 or something and keep the mobo (cheap and effective) 2: swap both parts and get a 4690k mobo combo (more expensive around 300) 3: my friend has an out of the box 3570k and mobo(msi military class) he's selling for 200$. (he hasn't touched it besides just putting the cpu inside the socket.) My concern is that if i get the 3570k or the 8350, both the mobos will have x16 and x4 slots for crossfire. Will that reduce performance considerably? Thanks.
  13. So i have a fx4130, specifically, and i've recently started overclocking it. for about a month, i got it from 3.6 GHz to 4.5 Ghz pretty quick. i recently was not able to overclock over stock frequency in the bios and each time i tried ended up in an indefinite black screen after the bios was saved CPU:fx4130 @ 1.5v 21.5x and 210FSB (4.5GHz setup nothing else changed) Board: asus m5a78lmlx plus RAM:kingston hyperx blu 1600 GFX: radeon 7770 psu:ark 600w first off my PC is working fine, but only at stock OC. I'm gonna say all the things that recently happened/changed to my PC even if they seem irrelevant: a couple days ago, i tried to OC my monitor to 70Hz while on eyefinity(lol bad idea) with CRU. didn't work out so i fixed it and now i'm just running extended monitor and no eyefinity i have not used amd overdrive. it is activated, but i have not used it at all. after that, i bought a sp120 for my seidon120v(less loud) and installed that. might have missed the 4pin connector and hit the mobo like right under the vrms, on the pcb.(not very hard) Then i started to do a prime95 test @4.5GHz settings (which had been stable for like 5 days while i was playing games) but then it crashed and went back to the motherboard boot screen. so i went through the bios, checking stuff and noticed that my dram settings were off. like from 999 24 to 666 15. i had never changed them, always on auto. i booted it up twice and it crashed both times. the dram was off on the first one but not the second. i went back and tried prime95 again and it still crashed but this time when i saved my settings, the bios would turn black and the screen would say "no output". i pressed reset and loaded the default settings which worked. My Fixes: taking out ram, cmos battery, and power cable. = nope cleaning out ccc/amd driver and then re installing= worked and stress tested with intel burn test but then i turned the pc off and it reset to default My question is, that, what have i done wrong? I want to know how to fix it or what i've done to my PC. *also the turbo key works for some reason and it goes up to 3.8GHz. Thanks
