  1. well, my last resort is a fresh install. i have no other choice, really. do you know the most efficient and best way to back up my files from my old bootable drive? i want to take advantage since i can still access it via my docking station.
  2. Hello all, I recently just changed my ASUS Z370-F to a ASUS MAXIMUS X HERO, they are both on the same Z370 platform. However, whenever I try and boot into Windows with my previous boot drive, it gives me errors and goes into recovery. Can anyone help please? I don’t really want to fresh install as I have programs and games that I have to reconfigure/install and I don’t have time for that (simply put it, i’m too lazy ) afaik, changing motherboards and keeping the same platform and boot drive is fine? My SSD boot drive can be accessed fine when I plug it in to my external dock. I have tried to do start-up repair using a bootable usb drive but that didn’t help. I have since moved back to my Z370-F motherboard and now I cannot even boot into Windows with the same boot drive that worked before, it gives me the same error/recovery page. Is there any chance of getting back my old boot drive or is it completely gone? EDIT: I have updated to the latest BIOS version and cleared CMOS. here are the error pictures: https://imgur.com/a/4rA919e
  3. i'd go 3x front, 1x back.
  4. your cpu will not bottleneck the 1080Ti.
  5. i personally think the Meshify C is better. way better airflow and looks sleek. the h700 is an overpriced metal box with no airflow whatsoever.

  7. looks fine to me... it can be over exaggerated on photos. only you can decide if its bad or not.
  8. worth a look according to that thread, the HX is tier 1 whereas the seasonic is tier 2.
  9. I personally go with WD all the time. So I would recommend WD over Seagate.
  10. if you're gaming, just go with TN. i personally prefer IPS due to better colours and good viewing angles.
  11. yeah, it looks identical to the one in the video, i mean, the alienware logo gives it away.

  15. that cooler should handle the 8700 just fine considering its only 65W TDP and the cooler (I assume) can handle much more than that.
  16. I can vouch for RMx from Corsair. Really quiet.
  17. WD SSD's are decent for the money, Crucial too.
