I have several 2 GB DDR2-800 SODIMMs. They're probably the most important part of my collection and I use it to max out the specs of 32-bit systems.
  3. Which hurts more, stepping on a Lego or childbirth?

how about giving birth to legos?

my feet are probably immune to stepping on legos, i don't feel anything besides a small bump

probably because i have a million calluses from dance

Well I've been in psychological pain since I was born, but stepping on LEGOs only hurt me for a minute...

  4. I just switched from a Thermaltake 500W Bronze PSU to a Corsair CX500.

However, the mobo connecter accidentally unplugged itself so I spent about 10 minutes freaking out about how I thought the PSU I found was dead.

Anyways, it works now. Here are the reasons why I switched:

    - Looks better
    - Semi-modular

    - Has an 8-pin connector for my future 1660 Ti

  5. If you were high on acid, what do you think would be something you would see or do?

My answer: Spazz around on the bed for a while, then impulse-purchase about $3000 in 2080 Ti's.

      here's why:

the stuff my printer prints looks like someone took a well printed page, then cut it up and glued it back together, then scribbled sharpie, then dumped white-out on it

      So you'd buy 2 then?

    4. Schnoz

      Schnoz

      @imreloadin Alright, first off: *300,000

Second: If it was $3000 I'd get two then another one, chop it in half, then return one of the halves.

Nice! DDR2 is still very useful in retro systems. Make sure to keep that. I have several pounds of DDR2 SODIMMS.
  7. Why do all models of 1660 Ti have an 8-pin connector? Isn't the TDP 120 watts (or 130 in EVGA's case?)

@LukeSavenije Well, the stated TDP is the same as the 1060 which comes with a 6-pin.

1060: 75 watts from PCIe plus 75 watts from 6-pin is 150 watts.

1660 Ti: 75 watts from PCIe plus 150 watts from 8-pin is 225 watts.

    3. LukeSavenije

      LukeSavenije

guess it's a design choice then, not that many modern PSUs don't come with a 6 pin only
