  1. Its not letting me create a bridge between the wireless and ethernet.
  2. My work laptop only has 100gb of free space. The filed I need to upload is nearly 1/2 a terabyte. I also cant split it up into smaller pieces without corrupting it. My desktop is win 7 my laptop is 10 will it still work?
  3. Can I hookup my desktop to my laptop through ethernet and have my desktop access the internet through my laptop's wifi connection? Lan ports on my router are broken and I need to upload a large file in one go.
  4. I disagree on both. 10 is a continuation of the ugly metro UI from 8. And right as I type this, I have 25 youtube tabs open on my second monitor, while I am playing PUBG on my main monitor. The frame time minimums barely drop below 30.
  5. I just completed by Coffeelake build and had trouble installing windows 7 on it, so I used win 10 in the mean time while I figured out how to get win 7 updated and working. Something I noticed immediately with win 10 is just how slow and sluggish it feels compared to win 7 in all but the most basic apps. Win 10 is faster when I have like 3-5 apps or youtube tabs open at the same time, but win 7 handles extreme loads much much better. I can have like a dozen youtube tabs open and be playing a game at the same time on windows 7 without noticing any lag, while on windows 10 it becomes extremely noticeable. I dont know if it's just me or what, but task manager and fraps report the same or a little bit better performance on windows 10. I have a second monitor which I leave task manager open on and glance every so often to compare. Both OS's have their own identical SSDs(160gb Intel 320), they are running on the same PC.
  6. I'm thankful to amd for pushing the envelope and giving us mainstream hexacore chips(something which we should've had atleast 2-3 years ago). But I want something with more oomph to last me for a while. Who knows when(or if) a worthy successor to windows 7 will come out?
  7. Thanks man but I believe you. I've decided to go with coffee lake when it's back in stock(my local store sold out of every last chip). I upgrade once every 5 years or so. My previous system was AM3 and I saw no need to upgrade to Bulldozer or Piledriver. When my phenom x6 was still doing just fine
  8. jdwii is the best. He explained everything I wanted to know. Too bad the rest of you are so abrasive .It's like you're hiding something.
  9. I know amd is worse than intel, but I want to know how close enough amd is to intel. Again core for core, clock for clock. I want to know the performance delta. When the first core 2 duo's were released that's all that tech sites could talk about IPC and performance per clock.
  10. Yes I did look, but there are no direct IPC comparisons. At best is estimations. Man why is this community so belligerent and hostile? A man cant come and ask a simple question without people jumping down his throat?
  11. I see. My local computer store has both the 1600x and 8600k in stock for 300$ each and I'm having a tough time deciding between the two. Maybe I should wait for zen2?
  12. No it's not. I want to know how powerful amd's architecture is compared to intel's. Why are you being so difficult?
  13. That's the thing. I do productivity and game a bit. I just want to know what's the IPC of each when everything is even
  14. No it's not. Price may be a factor but the 8400 is beating the 1600 in reviews. Even though it has no HT and is 20-30$ cheaper. I want to know why.
