  1. Hi, I use a TP-Link WDN4800 wireless adapter on a Windows 10 computer. Whenever I'm booting up, there's a high chance that the Wifi adapter will not be working. It will show a red bar over the Wifi icon in the system tray. If I try to click on it to view the available networks, it says that there are none. I tried doing an "ipconfig /release" but it tells me that there is no media connected for Wifi. The problem always fixes itself after rebooting a few times, usually after the third or fourth time it will suddenly start working. This is an old adapter from 2013 and I couldn't find some Windows 10 drivers on their website - I'm suspecting this is the issue. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Is there any WIndows setting that could be causing it not to work on the first few tries? Thanks for the help
  2. Thank you @Max_Settings, this looks great
  3. Hi, I have a pair of Sennheiser HD558 headphones. I'd like to get a microphone, the quality doesn't have to be that good I wouldn't use it that much, but it's nice and convenient to have one when you need to. I remember a few years ago there was a lot of good comments about ModMic like this : https://www.amazon.ca/Antlion-Audio-ModMic-Attachable-Microphone/dp/B00R98JVVU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1520219512&sr=8-1&keywords=modmic&dpID=41wE1vw79PL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch That's a bit on the pricy side, I'd like to avoid paying more than 30-40$ for a microphone if possible. Are there good options for me out there? I live in Canada. Thank you very much for the help
  4. @ElSeniorTaco Thank you for your help, it worked! Unplugging a secondary SSD that was empty did the trick, it now works normally and I can get into the BIOS.
  5. @PuppyCuDDler I only have USB keyboards, a Corsair K70 and a Logitech G610. It works with neither of them
  6. Hello, since a few days, I'm not able to open the boot menu (where I can select the drive to boot from) and can't acces the BIOS. When the ASUS logo is shown (it's a Z87-A motherboard), I mash the DEL key and it does nothing. I also tried F8 and a bunch of other keys, to no avail. I've had this motherboard for many years and it has always worked, but for some reason now it just won't. I can't reinstall Windows either because I can't access the menu to boot from the USB. Has anyone ever experienced this? How can I fix it? Thanks for the help!
  7. Hi, I'm looking for a pair of wireless headphones to watch the TV. The TV is a 2011 Samsung Plasma 50", it looks like this : https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/2011-plasma-tv-5-series I live in Canada, and have a budget of 50-75 CAD. Since it's an old TV, I doubt it supports Bluetooth directly on the TV. Do I need some sort of adapter/transmitter like this? Or are there other wireless technologies that I should look into? Thanks for the help!
  8. @...... The description says that it only supports one output at the time, so should I use Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI for one monitor and then standard HDMI to HDMI for the other monitor? I can't seem to find a Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapter with multiple outputs that support outputting on more than one at the same time.
  9. Hi! I have a 2015 Macbook Pro Retina 13". I'm using a HDMI to HDMI cable to hook up the Macbook to one of my monitor and it works great. I would now like to connect a second display, so that I have more screen real estate to work with. Is this possible? What kind of adaptor would I need? Thank you very much for the help!
  10. Thanks for the info, that looks really neat. I'll look into it!
  11. Thank you all for the replies, I'll take a look at those. @doits I work in a closed office so there's not too much noise around, I don't think I need noise cancelling headphones (even there's usually not a lot of noise around). I would like a mic but I think I'll look into getting a modmic (if that's what they're called) instead, I'd rather have better comfort/quality of headphones than the convenience of an all-in-one headset.
  12. I own the K70 Lux and it's a great keyboard. Very durable, I've had a K70 with MX Blue a few years ago and it still runs fine. Solid built quality, media keys with a dedicated volume wheel are amazing and I like the RGB lighting. I can't compare it with your other options but I can definitely vouch for it!
  13. Hello, I'm looking for new headphones to wear while I'm working. I'd be wearing them for 8hrs+ per day, so comfort is the most important thing. My budget is between 100$ and 150$ CAD, do you guys have any recommandations? Thanks!
