  1. Is that good or bad? (Can you please answer objectively, as in someone who prefers audio the way it was intended to be heard by the artist to other acoustic flares different inputs/connections might add) I ordered a D10s to use it as a USB Bridge. I've heard good things about it from Darko Audio. My streaming amp WXA-50 has a good DAC I think (?). I hope the quality increases with an optical toslink connection, compared to my current setup.
  2. I have a pair of 3020i Bookshelf speakers attached to the amp - if you are referring to the audio side, and I have a 4K LG monitor running right beside the amp, connected to the same mac mini feeding the amp - if you are referring to the display side.
  3. So either my ears got hyper sensitive somehow to nuances in audio frequency or my WXA-50 got damaged. Should an amp produce static noise of any kind, on passive speakers? My Desk Setup: Mac Mini M1 + WXA-50 + 3020i Pair (with 3.5mm to RCA & Nakamichi banana plugs w/ 12 gauge spool) I quite literally HEARD the static noise, for the first time today. I thought it was an outside noise and ignored it at first, but then when I went close to the speakers, turns out there was indeed a noise coming out of the twitter, on both channels. It boggles my mind as to why this is the first time I'm listening to the static. I've been using this since August 2020 and at the time I was in a very quiet place too, compared to where I am right now. But never before; weird. So, here are things that I observed, and did to find out why it might be happening (while playing nothing). It's barely audible from normal desktop sitting position but the noise is there; if I'm in a quiet room and wxa50 has -10db or higher, you'll hear the noise. Specially if you switch to bluetooth from aux, you'll feel the speakers suddenly went quietER. The noise increases as I turn up the volume on the wxa-50 and it's not the aux-rca cable either cause I unplugged the aux cable from mac mini. Interestingly, the noise is tripled when there is nothing connected in the RCA input. But bluetooth input the noise is significantly reduced, like 1/3rd. And for optical it's the quietest (like almost non existent noise) So it's not the fault of the speakers either I guess. I turned off every electrical equipment including lights in my house to see if this issue is due to an electrical fault somewhere else. But the noise remains. For the past 5 months, I've noticed that sometimes when a fan or light in another room is turned off, there is a noticeable crack/pop in my speaker. Not exceptionally loud but loud enough to startle you when you are sitting alone in a quiet room. The fact that the speakers are not dead silent even when my computer is turned off is bothering me. Again, the noise isn't too much to interfere with daily tasks but with aux input it's really annoying me, and I can't figure out why I haven't noticed this before. If I touch the 3.5mm end of the 3.5mm to rcacable (rca connected to the amp), there is a strong tingling/vibrations. I'm using an outlet from the wall that is grounded and using a Honeywell surge protector that shows "Protected" in a green dot. Despite that, I discovered this noise today. Even right now, I have the max volume on WXA-50, and nothing playing from the computer side - there is a significant hiss / static noise going on. What is this? And how do I get rid of this?
  4. Hey what happened to your issue after that? I'm curious to know. Yesterday technician came to my house & replaced ONLY the panel of my 27uk850, with a "BK850U" unit. And in less than 10 hours, I started to notice subtle redness of corners coming back, again, in the bk850u panel. My original 27UK850 started showing this same red corner issue in March 2020, exactly after 12 months when the warranty would usually expire. Luckily in India warranty is 3 years. Due to covid I couldn't contact LG sooner & 7 days ago I raised a support ticket - technician initially asked me for 12 days of time for parts to arrive but after 3 days they came to our house and replaced the panel.
  5. I got entry 2017 MacBook Pro touch bar with four usb 3.1 gen 2 that supports thunderbolt 3. To support 3 high demand usb3 capable device the dongle has to provide for 13.5W. More if the SD and microSD is used. Shouldn't the dongle take the power from the MacBooks port in such a way(instantly) so that the user doesn't see the dis(re)connection ? My case -- [Pass through charging isn't being used] When I plug in a Seagate 512G HDD, the hub disconnects & reconnects the USB thumb drive and sd card. & [Pass through charging is being used] If I disconnect the charging, everything is disconnected and reconnected. Does this happen with all USB-C dongles out there or is it just my case ? Regardless, it's super inconvenient.
  6. What?? Doesn't make any sense. Even though the hub is powered by MacBook when pass-through charging cable is removed, isn't it supposed to be a seamless experience? If I'm watching a movie from external HDD, it stops if I remove charger. Isn't good. I bought mine based on Linus' recommendation. Does this happen with all dongles?
  7. I got Juiced Systems BizHUB dongle. If I remove the pass through charging cable, connected devices are disconnected and reconnected with a warning 'Device not ejected properly'. Why is that ?
  8. Hello everyone, Though I've been following Techquickie & LinusTechTips for a long time, this is actually my first post in LTT forum. I received the Juiced Systems BizHUB 2 days ago and I've been testing things. I checked things like data transfer speed, ethernet speed, HDMI connection quality etc. These are fine but something else is wrong. I was charging my macbook pro 2017 entry TB 13" via the pass-through charging port just to check if it works. And it does. Then I plugged in some UBS devices - a thumb drive and an 500G external hdd(no external power) - it also worked. But when I removed the pass through charging, all the connected devices disconnected and re-connected after couple of seconds and macOS warned me that 'Device not ejected properly'. Just to be sure I checked it about dozen time and every time this happens. Also when I'm not using the pass-through charging cable and a 3TB external hdd(with external power) is connected - if I connect the 500G external hdd(no external power) it disconnects the 3TB HDD and other devices if connected. I've concluded that if the hub goes through sudden changes in the amount of available distributing power(?), it disconnects all attached devices. I've made a purchase decision based on this video: In the video there is no mention of problems of this sort. If anyone can inform if this is an intended behaviour or if this is a fault in the unit it would be appreciated. It cost 135$ to purchase and get it shipped to India. I need to know whether I should keep it or return for refund. Thanks.
