  1. Thanks. I run a corsair h110I v2 so not worried about cooling. Right now the 350 is about $60 cheaper. So is the 370 worth that extra?
  2. Trying to figure out what one I should go with. I am getting the R7 1700x and need helping picking out a good mother board for it. The options so far are: ASUS ROG Strix X370-F GAMING AMD Ryzen AM4 DDR4 HDMI DisplayPort M.2 ATX X370 Motherboard with USB 3.1 ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AMD Ryzen AM4 DDR4 HDMI DisplayPort M.2 USB 3.1 ATX B350 Motherboard Pros and cons about each would be helpful. If there is another motherboard that you think would be better please say so.
  3. Recently I have been trying to figure out overclocking, another reason i am wanting to try to get another PC going, so I can use my current one for testing. Thanks for all the input, so you would recommend the 1700 in the end? If so, motherboard recommendations?
  4. Not against overclocking, just dont trust myself to do it. I have a Corsair h100i v2. AIO, so not worried about cooling at all. Just slowly upgrading what I can when I can. I just at the point now where I need to upgrade the CPU, so want something that will make a difference, and want to try to future proof a little bit. Thanks for the help. Just got into PC building about 2 1/2 years ago, so still trying to pick up advice and knowledge where I can.
  5. Wondering if anyone here has ever modded a HAF Xb Evo? Thinking about replacing the top/side vents and with glass. Has anyone ever done this to the case? If so what kind of issues did you run into while doing it?
  6. Thanks for the input. Not looking to overclock at all, so do not need an unlocked one. 8700 better at multitasking than the 1700, correct? Should I go with the 7700 over the 8700, is the 8700 worth the extra?
  7. I currently am running an AMD FX8350, and I am wanting to upgrade. I am not worried about the ability to game as much, because I know that no matter what I pick for a CPU, it will meet my gaming needs. Where it makes it difficult to choose, is my other possible needs. I am about to finish my BA in technology, about get start some system admin things, would like to be able to stream if the time comes and do a little bit of editing. With these new CPUs, it is making it difficult to decide. I am considering the i7-8700(not the K), the i5(8gens), just want to keep the CPU cost under 330 or so. Open for suggestions on this topic.
