  1. Thanks, yep wasn't concerned with safety so much as wanting to understand why it was an issue. That thread you linked is really helpful info, thanks so much for all the help!
  2. @Legendarypoet it does look like that is set to true: Before I make that update, could you point me to the thread you mentioned detailing the issue? I would like to understand the root problem and what I'm changing before I apply that fix. Thanks so much for the help!
  3. Thanks for the responses so far! @porina here is a fresh benchmark for the boot drive, I do have the latest Samsung and chipset drivers installed: @Legendarypoet I have AI Suite 3 installed - versions here:
  4. I'm hoping to get a little bit of insight into what has been a disappointing upgrade so far. I recently upgraded from an Intel based system, i7 4930K LGA2011 running on an ASUS ROG Rampage IV Black Board with 2 780 TIs, to my current setup: ASUS Zenith Extreme x399 board AMD Threadripper 1950x 32gb G.Skill 3000mhz 4x8 512GB Samsung 960 Pro M.2 SSD ASUS ROG Poseidon 1080 TI I'm running a clean, new install of Windows 10. It has become really clear that overall, my performance is far worse now than it was with my previous setup. While benchmarks such as my CineBench score are obviously significantly higher, and match expected numbers for the 1950X, overall system performance is extremely problematic. Opening Photoshop CC, or Lightroom/Premier Pro is seemingly slower than ever, and interacting with the programs (e.g. I just clicked to close Lightroom) will hang the entire system up for a few seconds (this past test, probably 10+ seconds, mouse becomes completely unresponsive hanging up the system completely). Excel can cause the same issue, games, once they are running, usually no problems, but it seems that any time the system is under high load momentarily, the entire system hangs badly. This was never an issue I ran into with my Intel based system mentioned above. I'm hoping that someone might have some thoughts or insight into known issues or potential causes of this, as the upgrade that I was quite excited about has been an expensive letdown so far... Thanks!
