xtelemonx got a reaction from da na in Experiences with non-techies
I saw this listing on Craigslist the other day about some motherboard with a 1156 socket for $200 so I told the guy he was asking to much and he got all pissy. He said all the best motherboards run 1156. I sent him a link to a listing with an 1150 board and a 4770k and he responded "That computer is a piece of shit it couldn't even run Minecraft". His reasoning was that 1156 hadore pins and was better. I showed him some benchmarks but he only gotore pissy, so I called him an F-tard and blocked him

Just got a new story. So one of my friends has a crap of case and the power button the front broke, meaning he has to jury rig his machine every time he wants to turn it on. Well, I'm over at his house and we're pretty board so I'm in his room playing Xbox and he's down stairs playing with the wires finding cool ways to turn his PC on such as touching the wires against the case. Well, eventually without realizing it he touched the sodder points for the 6-pin power connecters on his 760 and a bunch of sparks fly everywhere and the wires get kind of "welded" to the cards. Needless to say his card artifacted like crazy after that. I hope his 4-year warranty covers being a dumbass.

Last school year I started establishing myself as the go to guy for computer knowledge at school. I also very frequently ran into people who wanted to buy consoles and nudged them in the direction of PC gaming. So this year on the second day of school one of them (I'll call him Graphics Card Guy or GCG for short) came up to me in the hallway and the following conversation ensued:
GCG: So I took your advice and decided to build a PC.
Me: Awesome, do you want me to take a look at your partslist before you buy anything just to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck?
GCG: No, It's mostly built already. I just have to get the graphics card.
Me: Okay, what card are you getting?
GCG: just a $100 dollar card from Best Buy.
Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I then proceeded to tell him that just about any computer part you can buy from Best Buy is overpriced and several generations behind the current gen. This is true at least in our local Best Buys.

My first impression is that it should be a BF4 expansion pack, not a brand new game. I really didn't notice any big differences. Theres a few obvious ones but its basically BF3 and BF4 with some new gimmicks slapped on.
