  1. I'll have to double check TDP if I throw everything together, last I remember my system is 235 watts so another 170 while putting me above the 50% capacity of my 650Watt psu I do think it'd be fine. As for swapping them while inconvenient the bigger problem is index uses DP and the tablet uses HDMI. That being said I have a gt 730? laying around somewhere. While older than dirt, It'd decrease the tdp, drastically over a 1070 but would it bottleneck anything?
  2. I'll try to keep this short. I currently have a 3060 that has 1 HDMI port and 3 DP. I run 3 monitors and a Valve Index off it currently. I need 1 more HDMI port for my new and shiny Graphic Drawing Tablet. As I said my gfx is a 3060, but I have my 1070 in my closet collecting dust. If I were to toss that bad boy in, could I basically use is as a HDMI addon card, or would that cause some problems with my system? My cpu is the the Ryzen 5 5600x, I'm 99% sure it does not have integrated GFX. If I can still use the HDMI port on my mobo, without the integrated gfx, please tell me.
  3. This thought had crossed my mind. To test it I hooked up just the monitor through the splitter, no other displays and still it either "broke the colors" or gave me 2 very large black bars above and below the image. This happed with every splitter, leading me to believe that I need a special splitter for a 21:9 ratio.
  4. Title says it all. I'm looking for a an HDMI splitter that can support a 21:9 aspect ratio. For more details, I used to stream, and I'm considering getting back into it. Since I've last done so I acquired a 34" 21:9 monitor. Attempting to pass through my capture card forces it to 1920 x 1080 and stretches the image and gives my onitor 2 very large black bars at top and bottom. Now the 3 splitters I've attempted to use will accept the 21:9 input, but output at 1920 x 1080 that upscales to the 2560 x 1080 and either does the large black bars as well, or really messes with the colors making everything unrecognizable. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. As much as I'd love to run the super ultrawide, sadly I don't feel like rearranging my whole office to make it fit. But thanks for all the help guys.
  6. Short version, I have 2 27" monitors. I'm thinking of getting a 3rd one that is ultra wide to smack into the middle of them What size do I need? I want a curved Ultra wide as I really enjoy my space sims and my racing games, it'll help give me a wider fov and reduce how much bezel there is. With the 2 27" I have I want to keep the vertical dimension the same or at least as close as possible. Is there a general rule for size, can this actually work, would I need 4 outputs from my GFX card to push all 3 if I do this, How bad would this impact performance on a system running GTX 2080 with a Ryzen 5 5600x? Any help is appreciated. If y'all run this type of setup feel free to post some pics and show off.
  7. Long story short, I have a Lexmark 205 pro, I have tried cleaning heads, deep cleaning heads, alignment, and even soaking the head in alcohol and allowing to dry for about a day. The picture on right is original, left is what gets printed "I scanned it back in" it's not actually washed out the print looks fine minus the magenta streaks. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  8. From upgrading I have almost a full computer system, amdfx 8320, 16 gb ram, on an MSI something or another mobo. Basically in order to complete the system I need a case, storage and a new cpu cooler. The board itself says it can handle up to 32 gb of ram. I had an idea of turning it into a home server for media. Movies, music, "important" documents, and maybe a place to save so video recordings if I ever decide to stream consistently. But after the past month or so I decided I'd also like it to be capable of hosing game servers for a handful of people, roughly 6-8 people tops. I'm looking at games along modded minecraft standards, open world do whatever type of games. I mention Mine craft specifically cause my nephew enjoys the game and I think it'd be cool to basically give him his own server for him and his friends to play on.. more than likely me as well. So my thing is,Would 16 gb be enough ram, will the FX-8320 be up for the task, and should I invest in a SSD or should a HDD cover it. Other games I might try to host are maybe ARMA 3 server, space engineers, ARK, Conan, or honestly anything that I might enjoy playing with my friends. Only one server would be running at a time, and more than likely I'd be running some version of Linux. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  9. Long story short, I'm looking to buy a new monitor, instead of getting 3 to do the panoramic view for games, I was thinking of just getting an ultra wide and calling it a day. My issue is I stream content to a second PC using an Avermedia Gc550 which only captures at 1080p. MY question is, using a GTX 1070 can I clone the signal then downscale the one going to the Capture Card, and if so how bad is this going to affect my performance?
  10. Tried a fresh install of windows on a known working HDD, still the same problem.
  11. So the short version is, I attempt to power on my computer, posts fine and starts booting, it get to the windows login screen and while loading windows after inputting login information the computer shuts itself off I mean just "boom off" like somebody unplugged it. I try to turn it on again it doesn't even got to login screen and turns itself off again on the windows logo. if I attempt to turn it on again I don't even get to the windows logo. The more I try the quicker it turns itself off. If I let the system set for about 20 minutes or so I can then get back to the login screen before is powers down. Specs: PSU: EVGA 600B 600W Ram: 16Gb Crucial Model: CT2K51264BD160BJ Cpu: AMD FX 8320 Gpu: Gigabyte Gtx 1070 MOBO: MSI 970A-G43 OS: Win 10 Storage: 2x WD 500GB HDD in RAID0 2x 2.5in Hdd for random storage of music and movies (not in RAID) Extras: AIO Corsair Hydor H50 5 Corsair fans Aero Cool touch screen fan controller Anyone have a clue as to what is going on? It was working fine last night, I shut it down before bed, after waking up this morning and attempting to power on pc this mess started. I swapped the CPU into my second system and it booted fine, so I am pretty confident it's not the CPU. Any help would be appreciated and thank you for your time.
