  1. In the guest room i have a modem/router connected to the wall jack in the room. In my room, i have a wall jack as well. Could i plug my tv into the jack in my room and still have internet? or would i have to have a modem/router in there as well. I have no clue how to ask so i am doing my best. The issue i have currently having is the wifi isnt strong enough in my room and to my pc even though its in the next room over. I am trying to find a way to either use Ethernet cables to increase the speed of my devices or find out if it would be better just to get a better router from best buy or something.
  2. I moved into a new apartment and the current WiFi is atrocious. I am wanting to run an Ethernet cable from the modem to my PC-8 ft, Xbox One-12 ft and to a smart TV-17-25 ft away from the modem. The Ethernet to the Xbox and PC is easy. But if i have the modem plugged into an Ethernet jack in the wall in one room, can i run a small cable from the jack in another room into the smart TV and have internet?
  3. So I figured out the issue, I went through and deleted all the old drivers from my 1060 with the new card in and downloaded the newest driver for the 2060. Once the download was completed and I restarted my pc, the second monitor came on without a hitch. Thanks for the help =D
  4. When I went into the display settings, it didn't even detect the second monitor.
  5. So I just got an MSI RTX 2060 Ventus OC as an upgrade from my MSI 1060 6gb. When I installed the component and turned my system on I am only getting display from one monitor out of my 2. I have a MSI g24c 144hz and an old HP monitor from my Walmart pc I bought a few years back. It is only displaying on the MSI monitor. My specs are as follows. CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 1400 MOBO- Asus Prime B350 Plus Ram- 16gb 2666 Old GPU- MSI GTX 1060 6gb New- MSI RTX 2060 Ventus OC Storage 1- 240 gb ssd Storage 2- 2 TB Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S I will be upgrading the CPU to a 2600 so I wont have the bottleneck.
  6. So there isn't a way I can buy a different mounting bracket or anything for it? That sucks...
  7. I currently own a pretty basic HP monitor with the vesa mount on the back. I am also buying an MSI Optix G24c 244hz monitor for my main gaming but im having an issue finding a mount that I can use for both monitors. The attached link is for the new monitor but I have no idea what kind of mounting I need for it. I want my old HP monitor to be verticle and the new monitor to be horizontal. side by side for easy switches. Any help or advise would be appreciated. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824475002&nm_mc=KNC-MSNSearch-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-MSNSearch-PC-_-pla-_-Monitors+-+LCD+Flat+Panel-_-MSI-_-24475002&msclkid=35b8f569299d1ad798d3af4b8a006483&gclid=CLnh5eiw69cCFXGXxQId_sMH9Q&gclsrc=ds
  8. You may want to change your RAM to a 2x4 instead of a 1x8. Most Motherboards will run smoother while using 2 of the Dimm slots instead of one. And with the extra money you could jump up to a Ryzen 5 1400 or 1500. Completely up to you but other wise it looks great.
  9. I'm looking for RAM for a Gaming and slight content creation (I am wanting to learn video editing). I am looking at getting 16g of DDR4 2666 Ram. Will this be enough for both or will I need more for effective rendering etc... I am also getting an MSI Geforce GTX 1060 6gb for GPU.
  10. I did choose to go with the Ryzen 5 1400.
  11. I have a CPU cooler picket out but I was also looking and I don't think the MOBO I have chosen has a USB 3.0 header for my case front IO. For the SSD I chose a Samsung 850 evo-series 250gb 2.5" And Seagate- Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM hard drive. My budget for my total build is about $1,400 USD The reason I posted this on graphics was because I was originally worried about my GPU and MOBO not being compatible. But I have been looking further and noticed that the MOBO I have listed, I don't think, has a USB 3.0 header.
  12. I am building my first pc ever. I have been watching a lot of LTT videos and have a few concerns about compatibility with my chosen components. I bought a Thermaltake view 31 case already. I am worried that none of the listed components will be compatible or I will have issues down the line. At this time I'm not looking to overclock anything If you have any tips for me as far as better Price to performance parts I will appreciate it. I'm looking for a gaming machine along with something I can do some light content creation.
