  1. So recently I've built my very first gaming PC, I didn't buy any key for windows yet, as I don't really feel the need for it as of right now. Normally when you do not activate Windows, you get a watermark in the bottom of your screen, however I didn't get this the first time I booted into my freshly built PC, which confused me but I didn't mind. A day later when I booted it it did show me the watermark. I realised it might have had something to do with the BIOS, because I booted into the BIOS the first time I booted my PC and I went straight to windows when I booted up my PC the next day. I tried to replicate the process by spamming my delete key, hopping into the BIOS and then exiting the BIOS and loading into windows... It worked! (for me at least) and it still does work. It's only temporarily though, since the watermark does appear after a few hours of using the computer. You'll just have to trust me on this, since I would include proof, but I don't feel like blurring out all my private information. If you would like to use Windows 10 without using a license key, you want a legit version of windows (not cracked) and you don't want a watermark follow these easy steps: - Shut down your PC (if it is on) - Boot your PC and enter the BIOS (Probably press the power button on your PC and then just spam the delete key) - Exit the BIOS without shutting down the PC and load up Windows by doing that. (On an MSI Motherboard there is probably an exit button in the top of the screen) Disclaimer: This might not work for you, it could be dependant on the motherboard or any other factors.
  2. It was indeed an error in the hard drive, the retailer has swapped it out and is sending me a new one. Thanks for all the help!
  3. I have indeed tried that, I tried using the SATA cable from my SSD which I know for a fact that it works.
  4. I definitely had that. I have contacted the retailer and they've responded and told me it was probably a hardware issue, and they told me to request a return, so they can see it and repair/replace the drive and send it back to me.
  5. Hey, I am experiencing the same problem with my WD10EZEZ 1TB hard drive. Has the problem been resolved and if so could you please tell me how the problem was resolved.
  6. Will do, the hard drive should be brand new. Right now my SSD is connected via SATA to SATA1 on my motherboard and my HDD is connected to SATA2 on the motherboard, if nothing works I might try connecting it to another SATA port on my MOBO. As requested I have attached a screenshot from my CMD.
  7. I am back at my PC and I tried to see if there was an offline disk, but there is none... I've attached a screenshot. I hope you guys have another solution.
  8. Yes, I have tried doing that, but it said the best drivers were already installed.
  9. Thanks for the quick reply, I will be checking if this solves the issue tomorrow, if this does or doesn't get the job done I'll let you know.
  10. Hi, Thanks for responding so quick, but the "herstel" is definitely not my WD HDD as that has 1TB instead of 499MB. So giving that a letter won't enable my hard drive. If this is not what you meant please let me know.
  11. I have built my very first gaming PC, I haven't played any games on it yet, but so far everything seems to work except for one thing... The hard drive (which I would like to use to install my games on). I am using a samsung 860 evo 250gb as my boot drive and drive for a lot of programs, and I have a WD blue 1tb harddrive to store my games on. The problem is I can't use my WD hard drive, it shows up in the bios and in the device manager, however it doesn't show up in the disk manager or in the file explorer. I hope anyone here has any tips for me on how to resolve this issue, if it is resolvable trough software, I wouldn't like to disassemble my PC and send the HDD back to the retailer, but if this is my only option I will do it. I have attached some screenshots of my device manager and my disk manager. (yes my windows is in Dutch, but you should be able to get the point.)
  12. So, I've been looking into PC parts quite a lot right now and I think that a white PC (case) would look really nice. I do have black peripherals though, but I'll see about my peripherals in the future. This build would be my first PC-build and I want to make the most out of it, I think a white case will look very nice and I like the looks of the Phanteks P400S TG a lot, it has a white outside, a power supply shroud, RGB illumination, tool-less harddrive brackets and a black interior, which will look nice with whatever colour of motherboard, ram etc... But I would like some advice about what pc-parts to pick with it, should I get white parts, black parts or partially black and partially white parts, also I would like to get suggestions about internal computer hardware which will give me a good 1080p gaming experience, the budget I want to work with is around €1000 which is approximately $1200. I want to use this PC for gaming and I definitely want to get an SSD and I am planning to use this PC for quite a while, so I was looking into quite a strong CPU and a good mid-range graphics card like a GTX 1060, so I could upgrade the GPU later and won't have to bother about upgrading the CPU just yet. Any suggestions are welcome, also about cases!
  13. So I want to build my first gaming pc, I want to use this pc for mostly gaming so I've checked a lot of benchmarks and I've seen that Intel cpu's perform a little better in games. I am not planning to overclock since I don't feel the need for it that much and I don't have any experience with overclocking. So I think a i5 8400 would suit me better. I would like to pair it with a 6GB 1060 and 16GB of DDR4 ram. I would like to know which motherboard I should get for my potential build and wheter a 650 Watt power supply is enough. Any other suggestions are welcome. I live in the Netherlands so prices may vary.
