  1. Very long story ahead. My pc was having this problem where randomly the monitor would stop receiving video input from my Vega 64. The only solution i found was to reinsert the graphics card. This worked well enough as I didn't have time to diagnose the problem. However the latest time I had to reseat it, i kinda lost my balance and ended up touching my motherboard (asus ROG strix B350-F). It made a beeping noise, and the RGB LED that is always on, when the computer is on stand by, turned off. However as soon as i stopped touching it, everything went back to normal, I reseated the card and turned the computer on. However now the Ethernet jack is borked. Windows does not detect any hardware. I tried to reinstall drivers or even use a wireless usb adapter and neither of those worked. As a desperate hail mary, I wiped my OS drive from the BIOS, through ASUS secure wipe. Now when i go to install windows, I get to the point where it will copy and extract all the folders. The PC will then go to restart itself to continue installation. But then the screen will go blank, and then the monitor will enter stand by mode. When i manually restart the computer, the windows 10 logo will show up with the loading circle, but I can't get it past there. I have tried to reinstall windows multiple times, always getting to this point. I have no idea what to do. Do i need a new Mobo?
  2. Just in case anyone is having this problem it ended up needing 2 display port cables. Bandwidth issue, I guess.
  3. I don't think that's a case because my friends tv is 720p and my monitor is 1440p ultrawide. It can display on his fine. When I do boot into safe mode windows freaked out and started to flicker, regardless of monitor.
  4. So I have an Acer xr342ck monitor. Whenever I install my Vega drivers, it no longer displays to my monitor. It works without the AMD drivers, albeit at a lower resolution. If I plug my gpu into my friends tv it works with or without AMD drivers. I have factory reset my monitor and reinstalled windows. I have tested out every other components except the monitor. For more confusion, Nvidia Cards work fine on my acer as, long as they are using HDMI, but no card works over display port. The monitor was working great a month ago, but suddenly vegas updates have been not showing any output to my monitor. I have reseated the card, gotten drivers from both msi and amd and no change. Updated bios, updated chipset, no change. Is there anything else I can do, should I just sell my 56 and get a 1070 or 1080?
  5. I cleared the CMOS by taking out the battery. I will try to update the bios
  6. I recently water-cooled my build because it's something I've always wanted to do. It was working fine but sometimes would crash during gpu stress tests, and be unable to boot into windows randomly. I rolled back my overclocks. However after I rolled them back the screen would black again. Then eventually I couldn't go past stock clocks for both the memory and core. I took my graphics card apart to see if all the modules we're being cooled. Bought more thermal pads and reapplied them. That didn't fix it. WhenI could get into windows. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. No difference. I used older drivers no difference. I switched power supplies, checked ram sticks and individual slots. I used a friend's GTX 1060. And it worked. I reformatted windows, using my friends card, thinking that something had boinked amd the drivers. Even after a clean install of windows and the vega installed, I still can not get past the bios splash screen. I can enter the bios through my Vega card. And using the board explorer application I see that when the Vega 64 card is installed, the motherboard calls it a AMD PCI to PCI bridge. I have no idea how that happened. Is my video card dead? Is there a way to fix it? Is my motherboard pci slot screwed up and that causing the problems? Thank you for your help in advance.
