  1. Hey guys, recently bought a pair of DT 1990 Pros. Currently have a FiiO e10k amp/dac and I want an upgrade. Budget is 200-300USD. Was looking at two choices so far and I'll gladly accept other suggestions: 1) Schiit's stack - Modi 3 + Magni 3, which I could get for 260USD incl. shipping 2) Topping's stack - D30 + A30 Seems like the entire internet is broken and I can't find a clear answer other than the only general consensus which is the Magni 3 distorts more at high volumes versus the A30 doesn't get as loud. Any help? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly the 660S don't ship here from Amazon and are available for about 580USD locally, so pretty much way out of my budget Any other suggestions?
  3. Looking to upgrade my HD598s for a better gaming and music listening experience. Got a budget of around 400-450 USD (incl. shipping). Currently have the E10K Olympus DAC/AMP. Also, I own the AT M50x's and I prefer the larger soundstage of the Senns, so I'm hesitating getting a closed back pair Mostly playing Rainbow Six: Siege and listening to EDM (mostly bounce, hardstyle and progressive house), electro-pop and some trap. Thanks!
  4. Just checked again, nothing seems out of the ordinary, whocrashed can't find dumps... Also checked connectors and everything seems fine. Should I look for something else or just call it quits and get a replacement board?
  5. Checked event viewer, can't really see anything unusual, I'm gonna try again now to see if it shuts down, downloaded whocrashed also. That's what I was thinking, I'm just trying to narrow things down before I absolutely give up and look for a 2nd hand board... New PSU and the cables looked fine to me, will check onboard inserts to see if they have some issues. Thanks for the answers!
  6. Currently having terrible issues with my brother's rig - just crashes randomly without any BSOD and shuts down completely. Specs: Asus Z97-Pro 4670K @ stock 2x8GB G-Skill Aegis 1600Mhz Freezer i30 cooler RM650i Gigabyte GTX970 G1 Gaming Windows 10 Pro 64bit Had some issues earlier: system didn't post at all (post code 00). Went and swapped the PSU which was some generic 550W 7-8yo garbage that probably killed his last mobo after a power surge (had a 3570K on a z77) for a Corsair RM650i, Got post code 15. Tried swapping memory, CPU (for my 4670K, which ran completely fine OCed on my rig, also the 4690K runs great on my rig without issues on a Z97-Krait SLI), reset CMOS via battery and finally managed to get it to post. Problem is - doesn't matter the load, doesn't overheat, shuts down completely after around half hour of use, no BSOD or anything. Tried updating to the latest BIOS (Version 3503), still the same outcome. Gonna try to format the OS Drive today hoping that'll help, maybe I'll swap the CMOS battery also or something. Anything else you might think is the culprit here? Thanks!
  7. Tnx for the comment, Honestly I hate the rubber bands and prefer metal bands and leather bands even better, thus the 360 sport isn't I'm looking at
  8. Looking for a 2nd hand smartwatch locally, I could find a Zenwatch 2, LG Urbane 2nd gen LTE and a Huawei watch 2 within my budget. Can you help me choose one? Don't know what to go with, especially with any new updates to Android Wear and Wear OS. Should I wait further for a pixel smartwatch or give in to my urges and get one now? Current phone is a Oneplus 6, and in any case my budget is about 200usd in local currency (if you have any suggestions for a brand new one). Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the massive help! I also decided to go look up some builds on youtube and apparently JayzTwoCents just uploaded sort of a build log with Fractal Josh of a rigid tubing R6 build. Looks pretty neat and since it seems to have more clearance, I think I'm gonna go with that one. Thanks a lot!
  10. Sadly, we don't have the Enthoo pro locally and the Enthoo Luxe ATX is over my budget. The thing is the H700i locally is pretty much the same price as the Define R6 (13USD difference in local currency) About the H700i - not looking for a gigantic res, something about 200ml or so would do the trick (Like the EK XRES 140 - Revo D5 res pump combo or something like that), I'm assuming that'll not be a problem. Just one last question - for cooling performance, which one of the two is better? I like both's aesthetics, but it seems like the h700i doesn't give me much room to upgrade. The EK configurator which I use for the lack of brand knowledge/somewhat cheap price point/lack of intermediate knowledge in custom loops, shows that I'd need a top 420mm rad on the R6 versus one slim and one regular 360 rads for front and top on the H700i, which means that if for some reason I'd decide to get a second graphics card, I'm afraid the H700i might not be enough (Because I could add another rad for the front in the R6) Thanks!
  11. I'm planning to wait for the Ryzen 2 and 11xx Series gpus to be released and then get a whole bunch of parts together for my first custom liquid cooling build. Wanted to do one for a while but felt like my Phantom 410 isn't the best choice, and my 4670K is still going strong, but I'd love an upgrade so that I could finally play R6 Siege on QHD 144Hz on Ultra settings. Currently probably going to pick an 8700K (or equivalent R7 2.0) and hoping that the highest end consumer card is released alongside the rest of the GPU line up, if not then I'll hold onto my money and possibly water cool my 1080, or build everything towards getting the 1180Ti or however it'll be named and keep it air cooled. As far as I know and managed to research, I'd require at least a 420mm rad or 2 240s, as I'm going to overclock both CPU and GPU, and since summer's coming up and I live in a pretty hot area. My current picks are either the H700i, Define R6 or Meshify C. Phanteks are extremely expensive locally, and for the BeQuiet mid-towers we only have the 600 line-up. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  12. Thought of getting a 4K display originally but I can't seem to find any 32" ones in my budget (around 600USD). About the usage of the monitor - It's connected to my PC, currently via a 5m HDMI cable (Gonna either have to switch to a DP cable or get an HDMI to DP converter with the RCA Converter). I'm mostly going to be about 2-3.5 meters away from the monitor, as I usually watch TV from either my bed or the chair at my desk (that's why I'm contemplating the higher resolution at all, because I don't know if it'll be that different from that distance). My cable box is currently as far as I know, not outputting in HD at all (480i I think), and we're not planning on replacing it anytime soon (gotta love monopolies) Thing is I'm gonna have to find out a way of switching inputs, even through my computer, without walking to the display, that'll be quite annoying
  13. Replacing my aging 26" LG TV, gonna go for a new 31.5-32" screen. Thing is I have my cable box connected via RCA (I know there are adapters). I wanted to compare getting a FHD TV at this size (should run me about 400 USD in local currency) or go for a QHD Monitor. specifically the ViewSonic vx3211-2k-mhd (Which goes for pretty much the same as the FHD TV, but will cost about 50 bucks extra for a couple of converters/cables). Suggestions? Any other monitor for that price? I am planning to game on it as my second screen, but mostly sports games or singleplayer titles (my main display is an MG279Q) Thanks!
  14. Hey, Currently have an old LG receiver as the input of my 5.1 speaker system in my living room. Thing is - it only has one HDMI output and no HDMI inputs at all (Model is HD304SU-AM). I would like to mostly use the system with my HTPC, though I'd like the option to once in a while use my cable box with it (that would mean I'd need a receiver with 2 HDMI inputs and an output with a switch or something) Question is - should I spend more for a new receiver or just get a 5.1 sound card like the Asus Xonar DSX and connect the speakers via that (solder the ends into 3.5mm connectors). Note that max height for the card has to be about 7-8cm, that would also mean a low profile card bracket. (Which is why I wanted to go with the DSX) I have about 250-300USD in local currency to spend on it, can purchase on amazon and such but that'll include shipping and handling costs. Thanks in advance!
