Yes I know, you have probably read that very sentence a million times. but what caused it for me I cannot find a solution for. So I'd really appreciate if you would treat this as any other random problem :). for how; I was overclocking my brothers pc and everything was going well. Goal was to get to 5ghz. once i got to 4.9ghz, I noticed that task manager was reporting 100% but I ignored it and kept stress testing with cbr20 and Prime95 large and small fft loads and things seemed pretty stable. Once I got to 5ghz, task manager was still the same. after finising some test, I checked XTU and found that cpu was using outputting 80-90 watts of heat and still sitting at 100% doing nothing. playing bfv had white bars across the screen and was getting frame drops. we couldnt find a solution in time because my brother wanted his pc working before he went back to work so he fully wiped it. going to attempt soon again but would like to know how to avoid that again. 9700k 1.38v 5gz 85c at full 170w load. was using msi mpg z390 board. thanks for reading

Well fuck. family wanted to see a movie I had and I feel like my brother would take the movie and give it to all his friends. A movie that I payed for. Oh well. Hope something like that would be integrated into windows soon

I have a couple of movies on my USB and I need to loan it to somebody but I dont want them sharing the movies. I did manage to change the drive to readonly, but that still allowed the movies to be copied off it. Just need to disable file transfer from USB to PC but still allow playback of the movies. Is it possible? Is there a way to lock individual files from being transferred? Thanks

I recently got a new 4k monitor and I'm now using it with my old 1080p monitor. Its been alright so far. I know its not ideal to run 2 monitors at differernt resulutions but I ask just this question. Is there a way for google chrome to scale up and down automatically when I'm moving between 2 monitors?

I bought a new pair of headphones and the headphones do not have a microphone. My old Logitech headset has a removable one. I thought just for now, I could plug it into my monitors headphone jack (asus 240hz) then get the usb cable from the monitor to my PC. should it work because its not working. How could I get it to work? it would be great you know :).

I bought the a artic accelero GPU cooler and it doesn't come with any vrm memory chip heatsinks. Will the card be okay without them? It comes with a back plate cooler though. PLEASE QUICK

Ok will see how the temps fair once I get my cooler then we can go from there Highest score I could get without artifacting was 4279. is that alright? I saw that some other 1080 got over 5k score

I am yet to receive my artic accelero iv cooler so thermals should not be of worry.

I want to squeeze as much performance I can out of my 1080. at full voltage and power/temp limit,183 on the core and 100 on the memory it starts to artifact at around 2050-2100 with red sparkles everywhere. I have a accelero coming soon and was wondering if flashing a bios from a another gigabyte 1080 or doing a shunt mod would help with the power limits to help stability. I dont really care about the degradation of the GPU and just want to know what is the better option. thanks
