  1. Sorry, I just remembered what happened. They gave him a rented unit for like $15 a month. I'll try to look at CenturyLink's site to see.
  2. I'm not entirely sure what to look for here, but the people installing his new internet said he needs a "VDSL modem." I've sent him the SB8200, but he said that won't work. So what modem should I get for $100? He has 100mbit internet, I believe
  3. Wow I'm an idiot lol, sorry! I looked at craigslist, found a guy selling his old HD60S, so I'll try to get that. Thanks for the help!
  4. Hi, my old Elgato CC died and I'm looking for a replacement. I'm completely ok with a used one, I'm just looking for whatever, I'd prefer a PCIE one with passthrough but I'm happy with whatever. Sorry, I know this isn't necessarily the best spot but I couldn't find any other spot to put it, gotta love being partially blind lol.
  5. Aight, let's give this a shot. 1. "Lightweight" gaming nice are a waste of.time. I'd much rather have a heavier mouse with some features than a lightweight one. 2. The H500I looks worse than NZXT's old S340 Elite. 3. Social Media is a serious leech, and I'm glad I ditched all of it (besides discord, if you believe it to be a social media platform.) 4. I don't see the point in spending $1000+ on a laptop, outside of "serious work" situations (editing, CAD, etc) 5. nvidia shouldn't have been praised for the price drops on the 30 series. I don't get praised if I shit the bed and then clean it up, and neither should they. Anyways can't wait to be proven wrong on all these.
  6. Ok,.thanks! I did a bit of researching and found these two. According to smallnetbuilder the router seems to be pretty good for WAN-LAN-WAN, but I thought it might be a good idea to check here. Also I apologise for second question, but is it a good idea to get a new repeater as well for the basement as that has had some slowdown as well or should I stick with just these two?
  7. To be entirely honest I thought the description said 1gigabit, oh well. We don't have a good price estimate in mind atm, but I think roughly 309 sounds about what we have to spend on networking stuff.
  8. Title. Basically today I was trying to play Trivial Pursuit with some friends, and my internet started to die. I checked their site, and it told me I needed to upgrade as my modem,/router combo couldn't keep up, despite the fact that we've managed to keep up for the past year with no changes to our speeds. My speed has decreased from 100 MBytes to maybe 39 mBytes according to speedtest.net We currently have a Motorola MG7550, and we only use that and a switch for our network. We pay for 1 gigabit internet atm, and it hasn't changed Thanks for the help.
  9. However if it's a serious issue that I'm using such an old PSU then I'll get one sooner
  10. I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking once I'm able to get a job after quarantine ends/school ends, so probably 6+ months
  11. I got this PSU for free about a year ago, and it's still working. Whenever I decide to build my next PC, I'm going to get a new one. My question is whether I should keep this psu until my system dies or upgrade the PSU now in case? Link to a review of the PSU: https://outervision.com/articles/psu/ultra/x3_1000/ultra-x3-1000-7 I'm using a 4670k and GTX 1060, not OCing.
  12. What I mean by previous is where you swipe up to pull up the navigation bar, and select which one you want.
  13. So I updated and I couldn't see where the options are to change the navigation bar to the previous version? I hope they haven't removed it.
  14. If it's used in only one LC then go with the t5. If you need speed or aren't moving it around then the 860 is probably your best bet.
  15. Hello! I am looking for a good Outemu Blue keyswitch keyboard, and I just want it to be solid black, have a normal US layout (not the tall enter thingy) and a white/RGB backlight because yay for being blind. Thanks for the help!
  16. On my motherboard there's an HDMI in port, but I can't fingure out how to use it, and searching it brings it no answers My motherboard is a azrock z87 extreme4 with a GYX 1060, and I'm trying to run my Switch through it.
  17. Honestly never realized that was an option as mos tof the time I thought it would have costed more. Apparently not
  18. Alright then. Looks like I'll have to do something custom to cover the rest of the card, or do mineral oil. Thanks for the help!
  19. Uh I believe mine is a single fan and I remember seeing something about the single fan not being reference, but knowing my vision I may have been wrong
  20. Title. Basically I am planning to either do a watercooled normal PC or a Desk PC and was wondering whether there are any universal blocks that work? Also before anyone comments, yes I know watercooling a 1060 isn't the best and I should just upgrade, but honestly i'm doing it for looks, not performance.
