  1. Cause older stuff is less efficient and performs much worse for its price. My conclusion: go with Ryzen it has the best bang for the buck of all time

  4. It depends, like it always does. If you need Ray-Traycing go for the RTX 2080TI or you aren't care about it, the 2080TI SLI should be a killer-Rig. BUT if you want to upgrade down the line to, like 2 Way NVLink RTX 2080TI, you should go for the RTX card. Pascal was out about 2 Years now so the Architecture of Turing improved significantly. I would wait the month and go with a 2080TI but if you want a Rig in its full SLI glory the two 1080TI's should serve you well.

  6. I know I read that. You haven't understood my question. Does that mean that I have 44 lanes from the CPU for things like GPU's and 24 lanes from the chipset for like M.2 SSD's? So would that mean that I have got 68 in total? Yes or no?
  7. yeah I know, but does that mean that i would have 68 lanes in total? 44 CPU and 24 chipset. I know theri are doing different stuff but could i like put like 4 GPU's (16x8x8x8) on the CPU and 6 M.2 SSD's on the chipset (4+4+4+4+4+4)
  8. I'm aware of that diagram I only wasn't quite sure if that means that you could put 2 GPU's and 6 M.2 devices in one z370 system
  9. Go with an i5. k if you want to overclock and if you won't non k. take a 1060 or 1070 for dual 1080p like 16gb ddr4 ram SSD and HDD how you want that's it. it would be around $1000 to $1200 and then you have enough money left to spend it on two 144Hz Monitors
  10. My question is about PCI-E lanes and I haven#t quite figured out how they work: An i7 8700k has 16 PCI-E and the Z370 chipset 24, so how many are there in total? I thought 24, but the i9 7980xe and i9 9980xe both have 44 PCI-E lanes and the X299 chipset 24, but in the table from Intel for the 7th gen extreme edition processors the PCI-E lane count was 44 and for the 9th gen there are 68 showed. So now I'm confused. Do you have to add CPU and chipset lanes? And when yes does that mean that Cooffe-Lake has got 40 PCI-E lanes to share?
  11. Take an ASUS Maximus XI board. There are really good and choose your budget and if you want ITX, mATX or ATX
  12. it depends. The 2070 equals the 1080 but the 2070 has ray-tracing. Wait until the RTX benchmarks from the 2070 are out and judge by yourself
  13. Take a noctua if you want silence and aren't about looks. And yes a 1080ti really good and you would notice a bid difference
