    I have a 1080p 10-bit movie encoded in HEVC, however my display is of 8-bit color depth. What will happen if I play this using VLC (stock, no settings altered)? If this is going to mess up the colors, what is a possible fix for this? Will the fix make this rip look better than a 8-bit version of the same movie? Also, will re-encoding this rip to 8-bit bring it alongside an original 8-bit rip? My Laptop Specs (if required) - i7 7700HQ GTX 1060 - 6GB 16GB RAM 250 GB SSD

    Hi, I just bought Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-593G-73KV). It has a thunderbolt 3 port. I wanted to know how many PCIe lanes does it have. How can I check this?
