  1. Oh ok, yeah I ran a lot of time spy’s and the GPU score averages were as follows: @+600MHz 10490 @+800MHz 10540 @+1000MHz it was 10600 So I guess the answer is, higher the better for this card. Thanks for your help
  2. I have a 2070 super and I can stably overclock the core to +130 MHz and memory to +1000 MHz. However I’ve seen online that as the memory is error correcting, running at the highest memory speed can actually cause you to loose some frames? Is this true? Should I lower it to something around +600 MHz? How would I find the optimal speed? When looking at the fps on kombustor, there seems to be no difference between 600 and 1000 MHz, both producing 1900 frames at the 30 second mark. Thanks in advance.
  3. Yeah tried the antennas in all differnt positions and even moved the pc out into the middle of my room, and no change to the upload
  4. My router is below me then one room over, so not too far, and yes the speed test with my phone is done in the exact same position as the pc antennas. I’ll try fiddling with the angles now
  5. On my PC, my download is 350 Mbps and my upload is 1.5 Mbps, anyone know what the problem is? It's not a problem with the internet because if I do the same speed test on my iPhone or laptop in the same spot, I get similar download and 35 Mbps upload. Anyone know how I can fix it? Would an antenna extender like this help by positioning my wifi antennas in a more optimal location? I am using an Intel AX200 with a PCIe Adapter.
  6. Nah the drive is new, it’s the installation of windows that’s 6 years old, been copied over from old drives.
  7. Ok I now have a clean ssd and a windows 10 usb plugged into the PC, how do I go about installing windows 10? I still see neither of them in the boot priority
  8. Alright ok, to be honest I wouldn’t mind a fresh install of windows. Last time I did that was what I built the original system over 6 years ago lol
  9. Just upgraded my cpu and motherboard from a z170 & 7700k to a B550 & 5600x the PC just boots to BIOS every time, the only drive I have connected is my windows boot drive (m.2 nvme ssd). in the bios it shows my M.2 drive, but if I go to boot order priorities, the drive doesn’t show. Is this maybe the problem to why it just goes straight to bios every time?
  10. yeah fair enough, ill have a look around then
  11. To be honest i think a Ryzen 9 would be a bit overkill for gaming and schoolwork. But once i get an AM4 chip I can always upgrade down the road
  12. Alright thank you, thats a lot of helpful info
  13. Gaming, Uni work and general use - nothing too demanding
  14. Current specs: i7-7700k RTX 2070 SUPER 32GB 3200MHz 750W I'm looking to upgrade to either a Ryzen 5 5600x or a Ryzen 7 5700x to get a nice CPU upgrade and also get chance to finally get a long overdue upgrade my 6/7 year old motherboard (and a budget mobo at the time) which has started to play up recently So just a few questions; Should I do this upgrade or hold off for now, perhaps a new Ryzen chip is coming out soon I should wait for (I have no idea, I'm not very up to date with PC components anymore). Is the price of the 5700x worth it over the 5600x? I'm leaning towards the 5600x as its 6 cores and 12 threads is already a decent upgrade compared to my 7700k (4C8T), plus I don't want to be spending too much on this upgrade, however I also don't want to be shooting myself in the foot a few years down the road. And are there any other chips I should be looking at for this upgrade? Also, should I go for a B550 or an X570 Motherboard? This is the deal I'm eyeing up at the moment, (fyi im not looking to spend too much on this upgrade). What do you think? Thanks a lot
  15. Alright cool thanks, btw just to clarify, the retailer not the manufacture included it.
  16. I just got a crucial P5 NVMe M.2 SSD, and it came with a free Heatsink. Am I supposed to remove the label on the m.2 before (shown in the attached image) i stick on the heatsink, or can i just stick the heatsink onto the m.2 sticker And finally do you even recommend using the heatsink? Thanks!
  17. Yep I saw that, also the 750W is on a large discount from £139 to £89, so I think I might get that one to give me a little headroom for the future and as Nvidia lists 650W as the minimum for the 2070super
  18. Oh thanks this looks great! I would never even have thought of MSI
  19. In April 2016 I built my PC, fast forward over 5 years and pretty much every part has been upgraded once or twice. My PSU however still remains, the same one since 2016. Its the Corsair VS650. In the PSU Tier List my PSU "Corsair | VS 2012 [orange-label]" is in "Tier E • Potentially dangerous in multiple scenarios" and considering my PC parts are worth over $2000 with an RTX 2070 SUPER I think its definitely time to upgrade to a better PSU. As I've never changed out my PSU before I really have no idea which one to get, so could someone help me please I'm looking for something less than £100 hopefully - probably going to order from Scan or Overclockers so you could check the pricing / discounts there, and something around 700W that is very reliable and will last. Thanks!
  20. Yep, gonna buy a new one now - have you got any recommendations? Something good quality that will last 650/700 watts range
  21. lol I've been using a Corsair | VS 2012 [orange-label] (Tier E • Potentially dangerous in multiple scenarios) for over 5 years now. My system is worth over $2000 with an RTX 2070 SUPER. I think I should probably update it xD
  22. Ok sorry for the late reply, went to bed. But having read your replies, and reading this which lists my PSU in the lowest group E (Corsair | VS 2012 [orange-label]) I think I will update my PSU. Does anyone have any recommendations to which power supply I should get? Thanks for the help guys!
  23. In April 2016 I built my PC, fast forward over 5 years and pretty much every part has been upgraded once or twice. My PSU however still remains, the same one since 2016 (Corsair VS650) and it’s got enough power to handle the system just fine. However my question is that should I consider changing it out now, even though it works fine? As my GPU is now an 2070 super, and have 32GB of expensive high speed ram in the PC along with a decent i7. If the PSU decides it’s time to die, could it potentially damage these expensive components? Or will it just die peacefully? And I can just continue the mindset of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Thanks.
  24. I recently upgraded to an RTX 2070 super from my 1070, and playing GTA V, while I am getting more FPS that before of course, it's not as much as I would have hoped. Only getting around 90-95FPS with medium to low graphics settings which I think is ridiculous for such a capable card. And after checking task manager I was surprised to see the GPU at just 14% usage while playing GTA V. Meanwhile, my CPU usage is at around 82% while playing. My specs are: CPU: i7 7700k GPU: RTX 2070 super RAM: 32GB 3200MHz Monitor: 1440p 144hz Am I perhaps seeing a CPU bottleneck? I wouldn't have thought so as I'm running at 1440p, and yes while my i7 has got half the cores and threads of the current i7's, the 7700k still has great single core performance running at 4.5GHz which should be more than fine for gaming. What do you think the issue is here? Do I need to upgrade my CPU? Thanks!
