IMO, its not so much the hardware that's the issue. You can likely keep your hotend and bed at that temperature for weeks on end. The thing that you should be concerned about is the fact that you have a heated source operating unsupervised. So safety features like thermal runaway protection, min temp, max temp, should all be confirmed to be working in case something does fail the firmware can detect it.

No. Three pin fans will run at full speed with that type of splitter.

Recently bought a 1TB one for my games because it was only 10 bucks more expensive than qlc nvme / sata III. They are really good, its basically nvme speed for sata prices. I would definitely recommend them.

I would recommend something like OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. that allows you to have a local copy of all files but keeps it in sync with all other synced locations, plus the cloud.

If you'd rather not involve the cloud and just go point to point, Resilio is a thing.

If storing a copy in both places is not possible or desirable, then you'll have to find a solution that just lets you access the files without keeping a locally synced copy.  OneDrive does offer this, but again if you'd rather not use cloud then that's out.  The main issue with any solution that does this though will be low speed.

Grab the cheapest dual core you can find with 2-4GB ram and make sure the motherboard has enough onboard sata headers for your drives. Only use free software and secondhand parts. Most expensive parts would be three new 5TB drives in raid5 but the rest shouldnt cost more than 100 bucks together...

You can't enlarge C  because that Recovery  partition is right new to it.

You need to use a partition manager software to move the Recovery partition all the way to the right.
After you do this, the black "Unallocated" area will be near the C partition and you'll be able to enlarge the C partition to the maximum

So it's most likely two steps you have to do.

I don't know what software is best to use these days.

    Hi there!

Its not so much in what you did that the people above are trying to tell you. They are trying to help you troubleshoot with a proces of elimination.
When i clean my system and i run into things like these. I take the entire system apart and assemble the system step by step testing each component in the process.
What i mean with that is this.

First i plug in the bare essentials. Power supply, Mainboard, 1 memory stick, cpu, cpu cooler. (if i have a cpu without IGP, i hook up a graphics card too).
If that works, ill add a 2nd memory stick. Add a hard drive. Add a second harddrive. Every time i connect something, i test if it still works.
One of the last things i will connect are the frontpanel connectors and buttons. This is also what the people above here are trying to tell you and help you with.

So back to basics, this is what i would suggest you do:

Rule 1: Always power the system on by shorting the connector on the mainboard with a screwdriver.

    attempt 1:
    Power supply
    Mainboard
    CPU
    CPU Cooler (air cooler prefered)
    1 memory stick
1 display (preferably via VGA cable, but DVI or HDMI should work too)

    Attempt 2:
Add memory stick(s). and check with every stick added

    Attempt 3:
Connect hard drive(s). and check with every drive added

    Attempt 4:
Connect peripherals. Start with keyboard, then mouse, then other usb devices. One by One

    Attempt 5:
    Connect additional displays

    Attempt 6:
    Connect HDD led. check boot
    Connect Power Led. check boot
    Connect Reset switch. check boot
    Connect power led: Check boot

    Attempt 7:
You get the idea by now with other components

A good way to achieve near silent, is to run many fans at very low speed, like 300-400 rpm. You will need ears of a bat to hear the noise.

NF-S12A's would be quietest and hard to go wrong with.
What are you cooling and what are your temps? You might just be able to get away with running your current fans at lower rpm.

Well, I'm quite partial to the Noctua NF-F12's. They're made more for static pressure (like radiators) than regular chassis fans but they're good.

Assuming your rack is unrestricted in the front/back I'm actually not certain populating these fan mounts will do much for you.

Olaf6541 reacted to Mateyyy in New exhaust fans
In my personal rig I've got some Silent Wings 3s and some NF-F12s (not the NF-S12A but they're still Noctua nonetheless), so I can say from personal experience that they are both excellent fans. Great performance, undervolt super well, and even at max speed they will sound fairly quiet, as in pretty much all you can hear is the air moving, no high-pitched whining noises or anything like that, as you'd notice on lower quality fans.

So it pretty much comes down to whichever you can find a better deal for and which one you think looks better (well, the only noticeable difference is the orange writing on be quiet's logo which is stuck onto the fans, other than that, they're both, just, black).

    @TheOcularMan @Unimportant
Alright thanks for the answers, I'm not sure if the built in pwm function still works if you start messing with the timers so I changed my code and used timer2 for the leds. I was already using leds with the BJT but not with pwm. So later this week I will swap some pins and check if the current leds can be controlled with pwm on timer2.

    Here is the code:
Edit: Okay I couldnt wait and rewired some stuff: it works ?

    Hi,
You can host your own OpenVPN server in a virtual machine on your server, this will allow any connection as if youre physically present in your home. Just install Pfsense (or any other operating system that can run an OpenVPN server) and use this guide, it explains all the certificates etc:
Edit: theres an option in Pfsense that forces all traffic through the tunnel, if you leave that unchecked only traffic meant for the lan should go through the tunnel, wan connections should go straight to the internet via their own gateway. But i'm not an expert on this...

Olaf6541 got a reaction from Zando_ in Does RAM height limitation in a case be determined by CPU cooler height ?
    @_d0nut @Zando Bob
I think OP means interference between RAM and the case, not RAM and CPU cooler...

If you know the specified height of your cpu cooler and measure the difference between cpu cooler and ram when both installed on your motherboard you should get a pretty good indication what your ram height is and if it will work in that case.

Its not... the back is all steel and the front is all glass, these fans actually help alot:
