  1. Thanks for replies! Didn't know DP has audio capabilities (You learn something new every day) So I will use cable that comes with monitor. You guys rock! Got my answer so I'll lock this thread.
  2. Hello, At this moment i have old VGA 1440x900 monitor, and have little experience with monitors in general. I've found monitor that I want to purchase: AOC G2260VWQ6 (full HD 75Hz, 1ms response time) It has DisplayPort and HDMI input with 2 speakers. At the moment I have GTX 970 so I wouldn't benefit from Freesync I've heard/found somewhere that HDMI has greater input lag than DisplayPort, and that HDMI can't go over 60Hz. I was thinking about using HDMI (for speakers) because I don't like having my headphones always on while casualy browsing web. So, are these things true about HDMI?
  3. I am planing to upgrade my CPU to something better, but I'm not sure what should I pick. Currently im using old 60hz1440x900 monitor; Planing to upgrade to 1080p or 2560x1080 My rig currently hs h270 Mobo, so I won't be OC-ing my CPU; I was wondering what would be best upgrade (Most significant one) for the future. I don't feel like I need i7 for 1080p gaming on 60fps; Graphics card is okay, I guess (gtx 970) So help me decide with what should I go. Thanks in Advance!!
  4. Well, thanks for help, will try some of these things (got myself a new PC, which isn't booting when doorbell rings); That PC is now my sisters. Got one of the extension cord with switch on it, to prevent PC from booting while there is noone at home. Cheers!
  5. Thanks for replies, but getting new doorbell/house is not an option , the house is new build (3 years old), with everything brand new (Quality stuff). How likely is it to be RF?
  6. As the title says, it just randomly boots up whenever someone is at door. I tried moving it everywhere in the house (even to the other house), but the problem persists. Asus P5Q Core 2 Quad q9550 6gb of ddr2 800MHz Radeon 5850 Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  7. Hi After a while of gathering used stuff (some new) I managed to complete my PC build. As I went to turn it on, I see red light indicating that something isn't right with RAM. PC isn't starting at all, just plain red light if RAM is in DDR4_1_ slot If there isn't RAM stick in first slot, CPU and RAM icons are randomly blinking and ventilator on PC is turning ON/OFF, after 10 seconds it restarts and do it again. My specs are: Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3 (Used) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz c16 cmk16gx4m4a2666c16r - (usualy comes in 4x4gb pack; but I bought 2x4gb (used) Intel Pentium g4560 (New) MSI GeForce GTX 970 (Used) Antec NeoEco Classic NE550C (New) Can this be caused by ram being at 2666MHz, while MBO/CPU support 2400MHz. I tried using just one stick of ram, every slot, different combinations. I tried restarting BIOS, (don't know if it worked or not, since I can't access it) Yes, I checked if I placed RAM correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
