Chennaiyen reacted to dalekphalm in The best Anti-Virus in the market
We use the Enterprise version at work (just switched to it back in October... ironically, we switched from Kaspersky) and so far it works great. Granted, that's the Enterprise version, but the consumer version is also a good product.

@dalekphalm, Thats the reason I did not consider Kaspersky. Looks like Bit defender has a good number of trusted users.

For the time being, stay away from Kazpersky. They are on the DoJ's shitz list right now.

Bit Defender or Russian Intelligence gathering (Kaspersky). Probably the best two paid anti viruses. As for free, they're all pretty crap. Avast is alright if you uncheck half of what it installs with by default. I'm currently trying Bit Defender free version. Free malwarebytes is always a must.

Chennaiyen got a reaction from Crunchy Dragon in Asus Z370 - 1080ti in the 2nd PCIE slot
@Crunchy Dragon, The reason being, the case I have Mean It: 4pm. The rear GPU I/O ports are not clearly accessible, the case frame is in the way but still can connect the cables like DP and HDMI but the gold plates seems to be in touch with the frame. So I tried the 2nd slot even though it did not make things better aesthetically looks better for me.

Not ideal because it will be running at 8x. but as mentioned by others the performance will be the same.
The z370 board is only x16 on the top slot. If you already have the motherboard you can look into the alot and see how many gold pins are actually present.

Chennaiyen got a reaction from historicalpoultry in Which would you recommend?
I bought the Sony a6300 with 2 stock lens which came with Sony bag and a 32gig memory card. Probably will update the lens sometime in the future.

Chennaiyen reacted to dizmo in K95 RGB PLATINUM Keyboard $149.99
Not bad! I think the MX Silver switches are what would be the perfect switch for me.
I find it really weird they're including a stainless steel water bottle with that liquid cooler...
Haha, if only they didn't overcharge for shipping to Canada...

Ya I would do the same if the price difference is less.

Chennaiyen reacted to i_build_nanosuits in 8700k or 8700?
well...if you can get the K for like...50 to 80$ more then i would say yes...it all depends on pricing really.

Chennaiyen reacted to i_build_nanosuits in 8700k or 8700?
8700 is a lot better than the 7700K...and i would not spend the extra money for the 8700K...personally i would go with the 8700.

Personally I wouldn't consider the non-k processor until cheaper chipset motherboards are available. Right now the price difference IMO is not low enough to get the locked cpu on unlocked motherboard. Especially since 8700k with great OC capability, the ring bus, IPC and core count will probably last as long as legendary i7-2600k (this cpu at its time was also not the best bang for buck).
