BillyMann's Achievements

  1. I built my PC just under a couple years ago. At that time I didn't need too much space on my boot drive, but I now need more. So looking at a 1TB NVMe SSD, as I assume these are now much better value than a SATA SSD. Something like a 970 Evo Plus (Currently £160 on Amazon) is my main choice. As well as advice on the above, also want to ask the question if there is any benefit to doing a fresh windows install when I get this SSD. I've done cloning of my boot drive etc before for laptops so I know what I'm doing, but besides getting rid of 'rubbish' are there any benefits to how it works?
  2. I've recently just upgraded my system. I have the base components from my old system and was wondering if they are worth selling here in the UK? The components I'll have available to sell are: -AMD FX-8350 Black -Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev 5) -16GB (4x4GB) Kingston Hyperx Blu -1TB Seagate HDD -AVP Commander X8 (Case) I used PSU (CX650) and GPU (Gigabyte GTX 1080) in my new system and have already sold both of these items that I had originally
  3. I have just been told by the vendor of the motherboard that the BIOS was not updated to the latest one as requested. They are sending out a Ryzen 3 1200 on loan for me to use so I can update to the correct BIOS. Will this work?
  4. Ah I understood it had something to do with the Graphics Card, I should state that this card has been used in a system since last September, yes double checked the 6 pin (8 pin?), power cable to the GTX 1080
  5. I started to build my new PC today, it consists of the ASUS B350-F Gaming, Ryzen 5 2600X and Gigabyte GTX1080. When doing the first POST test the mobo cycles through the led indicators but the VGA LED stays lit. And the system does not show anything on the display. The vendor I bought the motherboard off had an option for BIOS update's for 2nd Gen Ryzen, I obviously stated this was needed and I presume this has been done (not sure how/if I can check this without display. Any help is appreciated, Thank you, Billy
  6. I am looking to purchase a new keyboard, preferably mechanical. I currently use a 'A4 Tech X7 G800V' , I've had this since building my PC but due to other upgrades i'm look for something more premium. I would like it to be mechanical and preferably Logitech (so I don't need different software for every peripheral) I can currently get the G910 Orion Spectrum for £90 here in the UK, the G810 is the same price. Which of these two would be a better choice? Thank you for the help
