  1. What sort of Reads/Writes should this drive be achieving, and is it currently performing (per the results below) as it should? Below is what it is currently reaching 50% full. System: MSI Z370m Mortar (latest bios) MSI RTX 2070 Ventus 16GB 3000MHz DDR4 (1t-15-16-16-30) Latest win-10 update. Driver for the M.2 is "Standard NVM Express Controller", Viper doesn't provide their own.
  2. The BIOS update is usually not with the drivers. Normally it's a separate thing which you download, boot into your BIOS and the BIOS will usually have a Flash option in which you select the new BIOS and it does it's job. Anyways, as for the QVL - the "Module" column has all the code-names for each module, you simple google the name of the manufacturer with the module code - for example "Corsair CMD32GX4M4B3000C15 (Hynix-M)", which will return links to those specific modules.

It's just annoying that they advertised the refreshrate and then seemingly locked it behind Freesync and AMD cards. 60Hz is decent right now, but the fact i could have had that extra smoothness if the panel would actually work at the given refreshes and wouldn't throw up a hissy fit whenever it was 1Hz higher, is just annoying.

Exactly this. Frameskips horribly if set even 1Hz over 60Hz. Like, i can enable Freesync in the OSD as well.. which windows then shows up as being able to display at 75Hz, but quite literally half the frames it recieves are skipped. Sadly thought i'm not in a situation where i can save up for a Gsync display, or a better one at all, which sucks.

Hello, so i bought this monitor a few months back, and used it with a regular HDMI 2.0 cable. Works perfectly, though i never was able to get the 75Hz refresh rate of it working stably - anything that was close to 75hz, skips frames. I've seen multiple reports that the 75Hz just isn't true for this monitor (even over DP it skips frames), and that you're lucky if you actully get anything close to what's advertised. And yes, i've already i've used both the Nvidia Control panel to force the Referesh Rate (since it shows up in in that) as well as CRU (which also shows 2560x1080 @ 75hz). Am i shit out of luck here? Did i get fucked by LG? lol Editr: CRU does also show that every resolution before the advertised resolution, supports a Refresh of 75Hz. Funny thing is that with DP connected you can enable Freesync on the OSD, which seems to then give windows the option of displaying the 75Hz refrseh natively selectable - still shit out of luck though, even then it skips frames. Quite literally cannot get anything past 60Hz.
  6. So i'ma be upgrading my Monitor to something newer, since the one i'm using currently is rather dated and is slowly dying. I currently have a 32" 1080p @ 60hz one, which is from around the 2009 era. However, i am looking for a 32" 1080p monitor at around 144hz, it has to be VESA complaint too. It would compliment my 7700k & 1060 6GB beautifullly at lower settings. Alternatively i i could go 1440p @ something like 75hz, but i've has immense trouble trying to find anything like that. Have a budget of around £400 if that makes a difference.

  8. Ok, so come January i'll be upgrading from my current system: - i5-7600 - GTX 1060 6GB - MSI B250m Bazooka - 16GB's DDR4 2666MHz - 550w EVGA PSU I will be replacing CPU & GPU with the following: - i7-7700k - GTX 1080 However, i need to know whether or not the current 550w PSU will keep up with these new components, as well as need suggestions on a reliable-but-cheap mATX z270 board to take advantage of the 7700k (OCing it). Thanks for your time .
  9. Ok, so i'm in need of a wireless card which will serve me well. Currently coming into the house we have 200MB/s fiber. However, where the PC is use is located (second floor) we cannot get a Ethernet cable up there. The motherboard i'm using currently only has 1PCIe lane left (x1) because the 16x is taken up by my 1060. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  10. After discussing a possible CPU bottleneck in my last thread i simply bumped resolution up a notch... that however DID NOT solve the issue at hand. That being games STILL peg the CPU @ 100% usage. Link to old thread: See. I really don't see why one day the CPU usage would be fine and then the next it would be a bottleneck. That for me makes absolutely zero sense. Why would the games one week and all the other times before that be running at 40-50% usage and the next week be running at maxed usages constantly regardless of what's happening in game and regardless of the res bump? Zero other variables have changed in that time frame. I didn't change the setup, i didn't alter any windows settings and i didn't even update windows, nor is the system infected in anyway with any sort of malware. People with the same CPU get the same usage i did before, and yet i'm constantly maxed out? What gives? Links to posts exhibiting the same behaviour THIS WEEK. I have noticed two things which are relevant here, all of these posts are with GTX 1060 6gb's and all of these are also using i5's, whether a generation or two behind or current gen. Are you beginning to see a pattern here?
  11. The Division always fairs worse with Fullscreen mode for me and crashes quite a lot when doing so, which is a pain. My GPU usage is sitting between 50-90% depending on what is happening in game. Resolution is @ 1920x1080 & is 75hz, though just like full screen the game suffers with problems when limited to that FPS (most notably, input lag).
  12. I can install Minecraft and check. Also, the usage is being monitored with the game being windowed and HWMonitor being at the side of it, i simply click into the game and can see the usage real-time as it is running. The background software which is running is a mixture of Discord, uPlay & Microsoft Edge.
