it could be that the 2.0 works fine but the 3.0mode is fucked ( 2.0 mode is basicly legacy of 3.0 ) <<<<this means the mobo had broken??

if those had problems, it will not work when I plug in the USB 2.0 flash drive too??? but the USB 2.0 flash drive just works fine really strange

I tried again and still not working I don't know when I plug into the USB2.0 just work fine but not the 3.0

I just checked and can't find any USB settings.

I think it should work as I used the USB2.0 flash drive to check. It works just fine.

I am using the gigabyte X370 and view31 case make sure that the front panel usb isnt set to usb 2.0 mode or legacy mode => how to check???

I had a USB3.0 external HDD When I plug in my HHD into the 3.0 port on the front of the case It keeps installing and drop out but when I plug into a 2.0 port on the front of the case, it doesn't have any problem Moreover, when I plug into a 3.0 port on the back of the motherboard, it also doesn't have any problem. After that, I try to plug in a USB 2.0 flash drive into the 3.0 port on the front of the case, it also works. So, why I cant use the HHD on the 3.0 port on the front of the case????
