  1. that makes me wonder, what would be the lowest preforming GPU be that they make waterblocks for? this sounds like a linus video in the making tbh
  2. that is not a good sign, did you make sure to change the thermal paste / aply enough thermal paste when swapping coolers? is there a remove before use under the heath sink of the new cooler? if there is did you remove it? 55 - 60 celsius on idle is not a good sign if all of that is good, it might be a fault somewhere in the power delivery, pushing too much power to the cpu causing it to heat up and short?
  3. for preformance? no. for fun or because it looks cool? i guess if you really want to waste your money like that be my guest
  4. i assume that the 70° you mention is fahrenheit and not celsius? cause if it is hitting 70 celsius when idle you have a big temp. problem also what they said
  5. PETG and acrylic is no problem, your resevoir and if you have a clear gpu or cpu block are most likely acrylic anyway, so mixing PETG and acrylic is no problem
  6. IMPORTANT: if you plan on watercooling your gpu, dont bother with the type of cooler it has
  7. depends on what you want to do with it, i found that for gaming the diffrence between I5 and I7 doesnt realy do that much for you. but if you want / need to upgrade then yes it is a nice upgrade
  8. it looks like it is not compatible with the G1 Gaming, it is compatible with your 1700X. even though it is not listed as compatible with the G1 Gaming it might be worth a shot to contact EKWB and ask them. there is a lot of difrent GPU variations on the GTX 1080, so they might have just missed one on their compatible GPU list, you wont know if you dont ask. yeah just spend another $700 on a GPU so it is compatible with a "Budget" custom loop (i know $292,79 is not realy budget, but in terms of watercooling it is)
