  1. It's to hard to tell just from your description what the most 'elegent' solution would be and you're best positioned to make that judgement given you're there. However by the sounds of it you're both hardwired to the router so it does sound like as you alluded to that you might just be overthinking it. Some general advice I can give for running cables is use cleats or cable staples to tack the wire to walls along skirting board tends to work best, and if you've got access to the tools drill a hole in the wall instead of running cables under doors although if you're renting you would need landlords permission and just be careful not to drill through any power, plumbing or gas that's hidden in the walls
  2. I know some people with 970s are having to run halo Infinite at 720p due to it not running at all at higher resolutions when you try and start a game. I know that's 3.5gb really but I think the OP might have a point
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if Logitech has amended their design in order to fix the double clicking issues. You don't hear about the issues quite as much as you used to. Of course they would never say anything as that would be an admittance of guilt. G305 is a good mouse, no need to upgrade if it's serving you well
  4. Yeah, I actually think that maybe became more prevalent in the 50 million click switches they introduced with the G903
  5. I can only speak about my personal experience. But I bought the G900 back in 2016 and it's still going like an absolute workhorse
  6. Assuming I'm understanding you correctly, any mouse should be able to drag click regardless of how cheap it is. If your mouse can't, chances are it's faulty. But to answer your question, yes, the deathadder essential will be able to drag click
  7. Thanks for the concern. I've taken a look and it looks as though the ink didn't make it down as far as my computer/the usb port, I would say about 1/3rd of the cable is ink ridden. This is a good Idea. I do have some alcohol to be able to clean it with so will give this a try, thanks
  8. Yesterday while at my desk I suddenly noticed my hands were inexplicably covered in Ink. I washed my hand had a look around and could not see any signs of ink anywhere the pen on my desk seemed undamaged. I thought How Strange and moved on with my life. Today I see my charging cable for my wireless mouse lying on a piece of paper that has ink on it where the cable is lying on it. Suddenly it clicks, yesterday I had plugged my mouse in to charge it and this must have been when the ink made it's way from the wire onto my hands. My current hypothosis is that because the pen on my desk is a roller pen with what it calls Liquid Ink (the type to dry slowly) that because I didn't cap the pen the end of the pen was simply pressed up against the cable where it like some kind of school science experiment the ink had slowly seeped out of the pen perfectly saturating my cable, although as it's a black cable you can't see it! Anyway if anyone has any advice as to how to clean the cable that would be much appreciated. Right now I have been running kitchen roll up it to try and get rid of as much ink as possible but it is taking some time!
  9. Have you had any issues with the 3310, as the 3325 and 3327 are both (presumably given their names) higher end sensors you should not have any issues assuming the 3310 has been fine for you
  10. I have a GTX 1080 a similarly performing card and I find that I can get 144hz in most games with some tinkering of the settings. Of course games like Counter Strike and Valorant (esports titles) I have no issues. In terms of AAA titles such as the witcher 3 I find as long as it doesn't dip below 90fps I'm happy. As you say you play MMOs and RPGs where perhaps it's not as important to have consistently 144fps+ you should have no issues. If you're absolutely set on having 144fps+ @in modern AAA titles for example Cyberpunk then you probably will need an upgrade
  11. I agree. Given how similar the experience from one browser to another is this is easily enough reason to not use Opera
  12. If you want an iPhone the iPhone SE is a good bet. It has the same processor as is in the highest end iPhone so it'll be fast. You get updates for many years as is apples way. It's also the only new phone in that price range with both Wireless charging and an IP water resistance rating, however the big compromise with it is the screen. It's not very big, bright or high end. I would not go for the Galaxy A51, I just think it'll be a bit slow in a couple years and reviews seem to suggest even today it can feel a big sluggish Maybe the One Plus Nord, it's great value for a phone with a 90hz screen Obviously you have brands like Xiaomi or Motorola which offer great value phones that might be worth looking into
  13. Don't worry about comparing your system to your friends. Just look up benchmarks for your specific specs in Minecraft and see if you are getting similar results
  14. @Abyssal RadonApparently, according to slashers sources this is not a DMCA ban his sources have apparently told him the reason for the ban but he does not want to share it. It seems like DrDisrespect may have really screwed up
  15. DrDisrepect has been banned from twitch.tv According to "esports insider" slashers sources the ban is permanent. As far as I can tell from looking around nothing else is known as to why he is banned at this time Quotes My thoughts Personally I really liked DrDisrespect as an entertainer and therefore this is sad news if the permanent ban stands. Of course we will have to see what information comes out to make a judgment on whether twitch is justified in banning him Small Update Slashers sources have apparently told him the reason for the ban but he does not want to reveal the reason "due to the importance and sensitivity around the subject" Sources https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2020/06/26/report-dr-disrespect-permanently-banned-from-twitch/#f854e718fc6b
  16. I don't think so. They might lose some viewers just because they have started filling their time with other streamers in their absence but after their big "comeback" streams where they'll presumably rake in allot of viewers they'll be back at the top again I would guess. I don't think people will hold anything against them for taking huge sums of money from mixer to move to their platform. Who wouldn't? I said it at the time that hopefully the move wouldn't just damage Twitch for the people that watched those top streamers without creating any viable competition, which is exactly what happened, so I see this as only a good thing. People also say that Mixer needed more patience to grow it's viewerbase. I don't agree, I think it's just to hard for a company to jump into this space and more time would just lead to continued stagnation. Youtube gaming has a chance as they can at least leverage YouTube, I will sometimes watch Counter Strike Pro games on youtube just because I see them appear in my recommended videos when they're live and it's a better experience in both quality and I like the player more than Twitch
  17. I would expect more in the 200 range. This is what my old FX 8350 was able to hit and it's probably roughly equivalent to your i5. Having said that, since I had that processor, map updates have been done to improve the look of them but these have also been known to reduce framerate so maybe the framerate is not far off. Still seems low though
  18. The G Pro Wireless is an 80g mouse. That is considered lightweight. And many professional players have been using Logitech wireless mice for years and the G Pro Wireless is particularly popular. So any concerns about latency or connection issues in environments with lots of wireless signals can be removed as many people will use these at LANs with no issues. I would also recommend a new mouse as the a40s are pretty good and very comfortable The G Pro Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate are great options if money is not an issue. Cheaper the G703 or even cheaper than that the G305 are also great options.
  19. It's still monthly £10 in the UK includes classic and retail with one sub. You get all the expansions excluding the newest one just with a sub. Currently double XP until the pre-patch of the next expansion comes out so leveling is FAST, and the zones levels scale with you now so you don't just quickly outlevel each zone you're in.
  20. There is this one game you probably haven't heard of. Think it's made by a small indie dev. World of Warcraft. Good game, would recommend.
  21. A game can also be improved by having a good set of speakers. Music can be improved by having a good set of speakers. All I'm saying is you could say you don't 'need' good speakers about anything you listen to
  22. You also don't need a good headset for listening to music
  23. Personally if I were you I would risk just getting the G903, there's also a chance with newer batches that Logitech have fixed the double click issues
  24. I've been using the G900 for 3 and a half years no issues. I thought the double click was more common with the 50 Million Click switches in the G903 as opposed to the 20million click ones in the G900. I would recommend this mouse. I have a few mice and the left and right mouse clicks feel so crispy, best on any mouse IMO. Even if your mouse does experience double click issues you should be able to get a new one on warranty. It's always hard to tell what % of mice get these issues. Sometimes due to the nature of the Internet problems seem more commonplace than they really are
  25. I'm currently using the Gigabyte AMP500, it has a very unique feel to it, like a mix between a hard pad and a cloth pad. I like it, low friction. I also primarily play FPS games. Been on that Valorant Grind recently
