  1. So its good enough? Some people tell me its great with the 6 cores and 12 threads and others tell me its terrible. I have a 4790k in my other system and I heard it would be about the same performance
  2. Ok so if I go with the Prime Pro will I be fine with the Ryzen 1600?
  3. are you suggesting I go to intel then?
  4. whats so bad about the MSI one? I have the Z97 gaming 3 motherboard at the moment and it seems fine. The Asus one you showed me doesnt have stellar reviews, not that it means its bad but I prefer to go off of other peoples opinions since I dont have the time to do all the research. Also howcome you suggest the Ryzen 1700? I feel like that is way too overkill for a 1060 and I dont want to get a 1080.
  5. Will it be a similarly priced chip? The main reason I was interested in the ryzen was the outstanding price for performance. Am I better off getting an i7? Lots of people told me the Ryzen was all I needed, I dont know what to think any more lol.
  6. Is this going to be worth it? More than double the price of my currently selected motherboard.
  7. I am going to be building a new system within the next couple months and I would like to get suggestions on parts and stuff. The main things I need suggestions on are Monitors and a keyboard and mouse. I am trying to decide between two 1080p monitors or one 1440p monitor. Im not sure if it is really worth getting the 1440p monitor or not especially since I like the productivity of two 1080s. Keyboard and mouse I want a good mechanical keyboard and I simple wired mouse such as the deathadder. Budget: Max I want to spend on the entire system is $2000. You can give suggestions if you think its worth it though. Aim: The main use for this will be productivity tasks such as programming and editing as well as occasional gaming. Monitors: My preference is two monitors but I am open for suggestions. Just not sure if its worth spending money on a 1440p. Peripherals: I currently have a razer black widow and a razer deathadder and I really like them. I am thinking of just getting those again but I'm open for suggestions. Why am I upgrading?: I need a second system for a new location, that is why I need all the peripherals as well. SYSTEM: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/kDpG9W
  8. Can you recommend a mouse? I currently have the deathadder 2013 and I like it a lot. I dont like very many gaming mice particularly because of the fact that most of them look like "transformers" for lack of a better word. With the deathadder 2013 I can even turn off the green razer logo so it just looks like a black mouse however its like $200 online for some reason. Also do you have any experience with the keyboard I have selected?
  9. I heard the dark rock 3 is a pain to install. Someone also told me that the stock cooler will be fine. Do you think the stock cooler will be fine even if i plan to overclock?
  10. Is it worth it for me to spend $150 more for intel? It sounds so expensive for such a little gap in performance
  11. I have basically phased gaming out of my life as I am too busy however I would like the PC to be able to handle 1080p gaming for the odd time I play with some friends.
  12. Sorry about that, I have edited the post now.
